PTI: No more tickets for family members of MNA's.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Rawalpindi chapter met with PM Imran Khan and convinced him to withdraw ticket in favour of Sheikh Rashid nephew Rashid Shafiq.
PTI Rawalpindi on Monday adopted a resolution against awarding ticket to Rashid Shafiq, nephew of Railways Minister Sheikh Rashid , in NA-60 Rawalpindi.

PTI in the resolution demanded that that ticket should be awarded to PTI candidate Iftikhar Chaudhry. The central leadership, however, is yet to take the final decision on awarding ticket.

Best decision. I was expecting this as Sheikh Rashid didn't look happy from the past few days.
I hope this trend is continued and applied to Pervez Khattak's family as well.

He did in the by election and lost. I didn't know he didn't get the ticket this time round. Its probably for the best. I'm sure he's a capable young man but he needs to make his own way in the world first.

Remember imran khan won in this consistuency with support of sheikh rasheed with just 8000 lead. If PTI don't give ticket to his nephew rashid , then it's like snatching halwa.

You greatly underestimate suppory of pti in the twin cities
In some areas people didnt even knew their candidate they saw their name for first time and they stamped bat without thinking twice

Well reputed and trustable families are an added advantage to be the asset of a party. Pathan treble system and casts system in Punjab is a success story where people know each other better and keep extra check on each other.
We had not so good experience of it how beurocretic families running the state to fail as they go hand in hand.

Rashid Shafiq is a deserving candidate. Sheikh Rashid Did massive campaign in this constituency. In fact this was the main focus in general elections for him. And Rashid Shafiq did all the campaign with him. Even before elections when This Constituency was posponed everyone was saying if Sheikh Rashid Wins from the other seat this sea will be contested by Rashid Shafiq.
Now people are just creating drama by calling it family politics. Ticket will be given to Rashid Shafiq and he will easily win

A candidate with good reputation among people in his/her constituency; is always a good choice. SR has a lot of service in this fight, hence, shouldn't be an issue to give him a ticket.
