In 1966 when ZAB left Ayub Khan govt. and started a brand new political party (the PPP) I imagine no one would have thought that a Sindhi would grab majority of Punjab in barely 5 years later. ZAB must have faced the then seemingly formidable, entrenched politicians.
Let's hope the history repeats itself and Imran Khan succeeds in 2013!
It depends on the voter turnout, Imran is already more popular in the major cities. It are the rural areas and small cities where PML-N holds the edge, but Imran has taken a big bite out of there advantage by attracting lots of electables to his side. People in the rural areas are also not stupid, PML-N has done nothing to alleviate there pains. All PML-N has done is to dump all of the province's budget into Lahore which is already in PTI's pocket, the rest of the province was deprived of all development funds.
