ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) has launched a new package with 8Mbps speed and unlimited downloads for Rs.2999 per month until December 31st, 2014.

According to the official website of PTCL, “this promotion offers 8Mbps Capped Package broadband in the price of Rs. 2,999 per month with unlimited downloads till 31st Dec 2014. Data limit will be applicable from 1st Jan 2015.”

Here are some of the highlights of this package;

a) 8Mbps Capped package @ Rs. 2,999 per month.

b) 100-GB download limit effective from 1st Jan 2015

c) Additional GBs at Rs. 100 per GB.

d) Billing Cap at Rs. 7,000 per month for 8Mbps Capped Package.

6) Installation Charges Rs. 1,500

Ptcl ki speed bohat achi hai... Uk main jab 8mbps ka package detay thay to 4mbps milti thee jab 20 bolte thay to 11mbps milti thee.. Maine 4mbps ka package liya howa tha Pakistan aur surprisingly speed consistently 4000kbps se ooper hi rahi thee... Mostly around 4100kbps

4MBPS internet connection pe 400kb download speed is fair. 20MBPS (truly 11mbps) connection pe around 1000-1200 kbps download speed milti hai mujhe... This is the answer from another website, you can visit the link for detailed conversation about the matter

3.7 MB\s is 29.6 Mb\s so you are getting very close to what you are supposed to be getting ! --- there is a big difference in "B"ytes vs. "b"its when it comes to speed ---- 8 bits make 1 Byte so 3.7 MB is equal to 3.7 x 8 = 29.6 Mb\s -- speed test reports report in Bytes where internet suppliers sell in bits so they can advertise faster speeds (sounds better to say 30 Mb\s instead of 3.7 MB\s even though they are approx the same !!)

Their is a diff between KB & Kbps

Don't know how they gonna keep up their service quality because I m having issues with their service these days, my EVO 3G is not working more than 128 kbps these days usually although it runs around 800 kbps normally and up to 3MB some nights.
