For a desperately poor, underdeveloped, chaotic and a generally backward country, India's space programme has achieved beyond what could have been expected from it. Look at Indonesia, Pakistan, Turkey, Egypt, Nigeria, Brazil, Iran, Canada or Mexico - none of them has a space programme comparable to the Indian one.

Plz don't compare us with above mentioned countries.

Look at Indonesia, Pakistan, Turkey, Egypt, Nigeria, Brazil, Iran, Canada or Mexico - none of them has a space programme comparable to the Indian one.

We are chaotic in general but there is even some order in chaos. Some regions are more chaotic and some are less chaotic. Desperately poor? 200 million poor but a billion that can sustain themselves. Even here we are changing. Our measure of 'backward' is very different from yours, sir.

Daily things are changing and we will get there.
