PSLV C28 : India to Launch 3 ( Made in UK ) Satellites for China !

Second Stage Ignited , heat Shield separated + 3 Minutes

Then PakSat is NOT Pakistani and Bangabandhu-1 is NOT Bangladeshi.

Bangabandhu-1 is owned by the Bangladeshi government. DMC-3 are owned buy DMCii a private British company.
China is ONLY buying images from DMC-3, hope you can understand that simple difference.

Well, Ignorance is Bliss. To Sum Up.

#0. If it was just "Buying" China Can Buy Images from US , Russia and even India and France !!

#1. Just like PakSat and Bangbandhu 1 , Theese Three Satellites are ENTIRELY to be used by Chinese in China.

#2. China and Bangladesh or any country CAN BUY Images from IRS / CartoSats ( 1 meter Resolution ) but, India or even a Bangladeshi cannot Buy Images from These 3 sats, they are ONLY for China.

#3. Buying Images DOESNT NEED Govt-to-Govt Approval, But here Cameron Admin Approved this sale with 1.4 Billion Trade Deal via Govt-to-Govt Approval.

Its not wrong to admit you are unaware of the facts. Plz Read one here for complete details :

China and UK strike space deal - BBC News

Which States :

Approval for the deal has come from the highest levels in government in both London and Beijing, and the satellite data package was actually part of the £1.4bn of trade agreements signed between premiers David Cameron and Wen Jiabao during their summit on Monday.

Both administrations gave their consent after being re-assured that no technology transfer rules were being broken.

So what are you saying China OWNS these satellites? You had better inform SSTL/DMCii of that fact. The contract with 21AT is to provide 7 years of exclusive imaging services to them using the DMC-3 satellites, the ownership of the actual satellites and any hardware/software are with DMCii and the launche contract is between DMCii and ISRO.

SSTL/DMCii is not allowed to sell these satellites directly to China and had to get government approval for this deal, the deal had to be formulated in such a way to comply with tech embargos in place against China. Hence the agreement between the Chinese gov and our gov, which will allow 21AT to use the satellite services data and prevent Chinese access to the tech developed by the Guilford based SST/ DMCii.

The news article only gives you a partial info...

OWNERSHIP of the satellites rests with SSTL (DMCii), 21AT will be provided access to all the imaging data pertaining to CHINA only. Any imaging data outside of contract still belongs to SSTL.....

So to recap.

1. These satellites are NOT owned by China.
2. ONLY the images over the Chinese mainland and associated regions will be provided to 21AT
3. SSTL is NOT allowed to give control "entirely to China", as this will violate the current embargo.
4. The launche contract is between SSTL and ISRO.

Let me explain you the other way.
Russia and India are Prohibited to "SELL" Nuclear Subs, thats the reason India "BUYs , $3 Billion carrier but "LEASES" 900 Million Nucelar Sub.

Check This : DMC3 Mission page from SSTL , It Says :

Beijing-based company, 21AT, will lease 100% of the Imaging Capacity of the three satellites.

Add this : This website is Hosted on a US server LEASED by Pakistan for PAKISTANI CONTENT , Ask yourself , whose server it is ?

Dude, the project management community in Guilford is very small, if you want to know the details of the contract then contact SSTL.

21AT does NOT own the satellite and does on own "100% of the imaging capacity". Do you really think what 21AT paid anywhere cover the building of 3 low earth imaging satellites, the launche costs and the support cost? The 100% pertains to those negotiated areas. I.e over China And some other parts.

Images DMC3 takes say, over Bangladesh is owned by SSTL, and if we want that data we have purchase them from SSTL not 21AT.

21AT came to SSTL to inquire about buying imaging satellites (which SSTL are world leader at), but SSTL is not allowed to sell any tech including associated data to a number of countries (iran, north korea etc) primarily China.
SSTL didnt want to lose a potential lucrative customer, so negotiated a compromise solution, whereby 21AT will get exclusive rights to data they need over China and SSTL will retain rights to other areas.

Tech will not be transfered to China and no Chinese entity will have access to the satellites...this will be retained by DMCii.

. . . . .
With Due respect , India is far ahead in space imagining technology from china, India and China follows different space path,

India focused on Remote Sensing while China follow technology for sending man in space.

Not really.
The best we have is our CartoSats with CartoSat 2 having .8 Meter Resolution and CartoSat 3 ( Planned ) with a 25 CM.

The Capability of Chinese have imagery satellites has hovered at around 1 meter in the past, the Yaogan 24 ( launched in 2014 ) has a resolution of 0.6-0.8 meters, assuming its resolution is better than its predecessor, Gaofen 2, which had a 0.8 meter resolution.

CartoSats 2A / 2B was launched in 2008 and 2010 and both have resolution less then < 1M .

IRSAT -1 in 2012

CartoSATS 3 was differed because of IRSAT-1 and it is now going to < 0.1 m resolution.

.
Typical indian big head, the title wrongly says the indians are launching satelllites for china. The satellites are British, not Chinese.....the Chinese are just buying imaging from the British company.

Re-read the title. The point here is ISRO earning launch contracts.
