just like im the most good looking guy on this planet and even most gorgious pakistan TV anchors cant stop talking about me :omghaha:

F35 isn't upgraded version of F16, it's a different plane that is aimed to replace F16..
It's like saying F22 is upgraded F15

Some Modifications are being done but over all the technology is the same.

This is why i have used the term . upgraded version.

Do hell with F35 and F16
India seriously needs to start discussion on procuring atleast 10 worlds most advanced jet Chengdu J20. Our Neighbours will go for this bird for sure in around 6-7 years and this is when even PAKFA + f35 cant beat j20. Worlds knows how secretive ,stealthy, powerfull this is .We will fool ourself if we spend money on jets like Rafale ,f16 ..No one can beat J20.

F16 XL was a buildup on F16 but the F35 is certainly not a build up on the F16 but you can say they occupy the same position in the air force. The level of internal cues for strength and air worthiness was impossible with 1970-80's computers. That said certainly the F35 engine has taken lots from the F16 counterpart.

It would have been even better if they had named the jet J21 or J22 or J25 :D
