NA Committee has sent proposals to President and PM for implementating organs transplant law.

Implementation on proposals would be reviewed at a separate session in three months.

The Standing Committee for Human Rights met Wednesday under the chairmanship of Riaz Fatyana. The committee expressed concern over non-implementation of the organs transplant law.

Committee member Kishwar Zuhra submitted documentary proofs regarding the illegal sale of human organs. The committee was told that some people were selling kidneys to foreigners for a meager amount of $6000, adding that a mafia of unscrupulous doctors was also involved in the shameful practice.

"some people were selling kidneys to foreigners for a meager amount of $6000"

that is 100% true, they even teach us that in tourism class, Pakistan and India are very famous for that and some other countries in Asia, ppl cant get organ transplant here (Canada,USA etc) because there are too many ppl on the list, so everyone has to wait for few years.

i hope they make a strict law.

Stem cell research has made it possible for us to save lives with the use of a none human organ, in theory, to cultivate human organs in pigs. There is a substantial amount of genetic manipulation that has to be done first, and it is many years from even being done.

Human organs could be grown by pigs through stem cell advances. A breakthrough in stem cell research has created the potential within 10 years’ time for human organs to be grown inside pigs, according to The Telegraph. A type of stem cells called pluripotent stem cells from one animal – stem cells that can develop into several different types of tissue – are injected into the embryo of a different but similar animal.
