So if I was born in Kabul I would be an Afghan? If I was born in Tokoyo I would be Japanese?
If your ancesters were in Pakistan at the foundation of the state. So as your great grandfather moved from Kabul to Karachi before 1947, his children are Pakistani. If your great grandfather moved from Kabul to Karachi say in 1967, then no. Of course there are exceptions. But they are exceptional.
And most importantly it is Dil that matters to be a Pakistani.
If you were born in Japan, yes you will be a Japanese citizen, just like if you were born in UK you will be a British citizen. It is only muslim countries that don't give citizenship on birth, but still talk about ummah.
So what about the punjabis and urdu speakers that came over to Pakistan in the 1950s, howcome their kids are Pakistanis?
