Tank nuts know sice a long time that the mythos of the tank battle of
Prochorowka in 1943 was a Red Army propaganda flat out lie... and never happend the way the Red Army told the story...
Dr. Roman Töppel made a speach about it at the Panzermuseum Munster to compare facts with Russian Army/author claims... fact are the number of looses, tanks in repair and battle ready on both sides writen down in the daily Army reports. Remarkable is the fact that next to no one checked russian claims after the war... the USA had all battel reports from the Germany Wehrmacht but not a single one compared russian claims with Wehrmacht numbers... that way this mythos could grow...
one German researcher had the option to look at orginal Army reports of the Wehrmacht and Red Army in Russian archives the 1990´s ... his result, the Wehrmacht lost (total write off) exactly 5 tanks at Prochorowka and the Red Army 196 tanks
