The modern schools i.e Beacon house, roots, LGS are charging upto 20-30K per month for o/alevels, Yet to add the expenses of extra academies and the cost of cambridge papers. These schools are only interested in making money rather than providing cheap quality education. In my personal opinion, the only reason these school are popular are because of co-education system.

She's offering scholarship to brilliant students, I know a girl who got 9 A* and a 1B in O'level in some other school will get free education in Beaconhouse

Both Beacon House and City Schools are expensive and I hope the management of both School Systems should start thinking about helping the less fortunate of the society. It is imperative for these type of institutions to play their role as much as they can to bring quality education accessible to lower income classes as you cannot rely solely on Govt. institutions to bring about much needed reform in the education sector.

Education must be free. One can make money off many other things.

for that to happen one must have an honest, corruption free and most importantly efficient government which unfortunately we don't have. private institutions fill the gap left by public schooling, and to maintain high standards they have to charge high fee as well. i dont see the problem? remember, our leaders have chosen a capitalist democracy for us, this isn't a socialist state.

There is a school in Dubai run by Juma Al Majid, he's a business man. The morning shift is for those who can afford it. The afternoon is for those who can't.
