i LOVE CHINA MAN!! but the problem is CHINESE people don't know much about pakistan! they have no love for us!! as mostly pakistanis they have seen in shanghai or hongkong have been BLOODY THIEVES!!! i just hope our image infront of the common public improves!! (this can only be done when good pakistanis go to china)

however, this situation doesn't exist in TURKEY!! out there people love us!

The thing to be noted is what kind of reciprocating visits the Chinese leaders are paying Pakistan. Usually when the head of state of country-A visits country-B, the next state visit will be by the head of state of country-B to country-A. But here we only see Pakistani leaders (president, PM, COAS) visiting China often, but hardly any high ranking Chinese leaders visiting Pakistan. This shows the amount of respect & importance these 2 countries have regarding each other.

This is nothing to do with importance or respect , it is to do with politics and policies. what about american officials visit china ? from what i remember it must be at least 3 times that high level america officials visit china during the last 6 months and non from the chinese side to america.

Not all of Zardari's visits are 'State visits'. This would be his second 'State visit' to China. His other visits, as he declared himself on his first State Visit to China after being elected President, are visits to the various provinces in China, on his own initiative, to drum up investment and contacts with local corporations and institutions, and 'learn' from the Chinese experience in development.

Deal with China on nuclear reactors inked in 2009: Pak​

Pakistan : Amid concerns expressed by India and the US about the new Sino-Pak nuclear deal, Pakistan has claimed that the agreement to build two atomic reactors was inked in 2009 itself during President Asif Ali Zardari’s visit in Beijing, though China notified NSG about it only last month.

A spokesperson for Zardari, who is currently again on a six-day visit to China, said Beijing has demonstrated yet again its strong support to Islamabad by categorically reiterating that it will go ahead with the construction of the two nuclear reactors.

An agreement which “goes along well with the international non-proliferation obligations of China and Pakistan” was signed during Zardari’s last year visit in Beijing, the President’s press secretary Farhatullah Babar said.

His remarks came as Pakistan’s Ambassador to China, Masood Khan, said the issues relating to nuclear plants would certainly be on the agenda of Zardari’s talks with the Chinese leaders.

“Our cooperation is transparent and will be under the IAEA safeguard,” Khan said.

The news about China’s plans to build nuclear reactors for Pakistan was first carried by ‘China National Nuclear Corporation’ on its website in March this year.

China notified the Nuclear Suppliers Group (NSG) about its plan in this regard last month.

On his arrival in Beijing on Tuesday, Zardari said “we believe that China is a factor of stability in the region.”

“This is my fifth visit to China since October 2008 and I have truly been inspired by the remarkable achievements of the Chinese people,” he said.

Strengthening of cooperation with China is one of the key principles guiding Pakistan’s foreign policy, he said, adding that his visit is aimed at pushing forward the process of strategic engagement, enhancing economic and trade ties and bolstering people-to-people contacts to lend greater depth and a newer perspective to the bilateral relations.

India and the United States have already conveyed their concerns to China over the Sino-Pak nuclear deal.

National Security Adviser Shivshankar Menon, who held extensive talks with the Chinese leaders during his four-day visit which ended on Tuesday, has said that he was told by the Chinese leaders that the reactors would be built under international obligations and added that India will “wait and see” how Beijing goes about it.

Combine that with the announcement of the Chinese companies working on the deal, statements from various Chinese and Pakistani officials and the fact that the 2010 Pakistani budget had allocations for CHASNUPP III and IV, and the fact is that the deal is pretty much done.

Zardari inaugurates Mohenjodaro/Gandhara photo exhibition at Tsinghua varsity ​

BEIJING, July 8 (APP): President Asif Ali Zardari here on Thursday inaugurated the Mohenjodaro/Ghandhara photo exhibition at the prestigious Tsinghua University.On arrival, the President was received by Prof Li Xiguang head of the Tsinghua Center for Pakistan Culture and Communication and senior faculty members.The President was accompanied by his daughters Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari, Aseefa Bhutto Zardari and members of his entourage.

Unveiling along with Professor GU Binglin, President of the University the sign board is inscribed with “Walking into the greatest civilization—A glimp of Mohanjadaro and Ghandhara”. The photographs put on display, showed Buddhas and other relics that were discovered from the two ancient civilizations.

President Zardari, his two daughters and members of the entourage evinced keen interest in the photographic exhibition, which according to Profess Li Xiguang, who recently visited Pakistan was the first of its kind held at the University. Zardari while writing his remarks in the visitors book said, “it is a real pleasure to visit Tsinghua University, which is the center of academic excellence in China and nursery of outstanding scientists, engineers and scholars, who have steered China’s path towards its progress and modernity today. It is no less a tribute to its accomplishments that President Hu Jintao was a student at this distinguished university and now leading this great nation. It is my hope that Pakistan Study Center, established at this University will help bring our two academic communities closer to each other and take our time tested all weather friendship from generations to generations” Tsinghua University is one of the two top universities in Beijing.

President Zardari on the occasion also held a meeting with President of Tsinghua University GU Binglin and exchanged views on further cooperation between the two countries in academic field. He also appreciated the academic excellence of the university.

According to Professor Li Xiguang. Gandhara is an historical region in the Northwestern Pakistan, corresponding to the valley of Peshawar and having extensions into the lower valleys of Kabul and Swat rivers. It is also the name of an ancient kingdom, the capital of which was located in the northwest of Peshawar. Professor Li Xiguang who visited Pakistan at the invitation of President Asif Ali Zardari in his remakrs, written in broad words on a sign board at the main entrance of the university states “In the hometown of President Asif Ali Zardari‘s wife Ms. Benazir Bhutto, we felt the local people’s love and support for Pakistan leaders. We expressed our deepest condolences for this outstanding stateswoman, a firm defender of Sino-Pak friendship “. The ruin of Mohenjio Daaro, one of the oldest civilization in the world with five thousand years of glory and an area of 8 square kilometers, the city mesmerized the visitors mind and hearts, said prof Li.

Talking to media he said that he had travelled many time with famous archeologist of Pakistan late Dr. A.H Dani and travelled many time on Silk road. The holding of this exhibition is aimed at informing the young Chinese generation about this old civilization and to further deepen bonds of friendship between Pakistn and China. He paid rich tributes to former Prime Minister Z.A.Bhutto and his daughter and premier Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto.

I agree that CHINESE people don't know much about pakistan,however,I don't agree with the replies about the 'BLOODY THIEVES'.
Actually due to their developed economics, quite some Shanghai or Hongkong natives tend to look down upon people came from poor cities including Chinese not just to Pakistanis.
China is a big country,people living in different regions have quite different or even opposite views on different subjects.Shanghai or Hongkong are only two among hundreds of cities in China,people there can't represent all the Chinese people.Chinese people are helpful and friendly in common.
Hope you travel around to more cities in China to know us better and we also want to know more about Pakistan.
A lot of students from pakistan were studying medical science with us in capital medical university just before summer vacation and we had a great time studying together.

Wen wants boost in trade with Pakistan

BEIJING: The Chinese prime minister said on Thursday his government attached importance to its trade ties with Pakistan, which not only benefited people of the two countries but also had a strategic significance


Wen Jiabao said during a meeting with President Asif Ali Zardari that Islamabad and Beijing should boost exchanges of personnel, information and technology between their private sectors and take steps for an optimum utilisation of the free trade Zone.

Mr Wen said China was keen to make the 60th anniversary of the establishment of bilateral relations a memorable one.

President Zardari, who is on his fifth visit to China since taking office, said his frequent visits demonstrated the importance his government attached to developing relations with China and his affection for the Chinese nation.

He thanked China for its unflinching support to Pakistan over the years, adding that Pakistan would like to strengthen bilateral cooperation in trade, infrastructure construction and culture, and join hands to fight terrorism.

Earlier, Jia Qinglin, chief of Political Consultative Conference, an advisory body, during a meeting with President Zardari said China had always valued its relations with Pakistan and treated bilateral ties from a “strategic and long-term perspective”.

Mr Jia hailed Pakistan’s support on issues concerning China’s core interests, saying that his country would work with Pakistan to cement traditional friendship and act on all decisions clinched by the two sides.

He called upon Pakistan and India to work together to augment the strategic partnership in a bid to benefit the two peoples and promote regional peace and prosperity.

President Zardari said Pakistan would always adhere to the one-China policy, recalling that “our relations have stood the test of time”.

He assured the Chinese that Pakistan would make joint efforts with China to increase cooperation in different sectors to push forward bilateral ties.

President Zardari, who arrived in Beijing on Tuesday on a five-day working visit to China, will leave for Shanghai on Friday and visit the Pakistani and Chinese pavilions at the Shanghai World Expo.—APP
