Cows are not sacred to Zoroastrians.

Load of bull. Pardon the pun.

Albino bulls (a special ancient Persian breed) are revered. And used to be sacrificed.

The consecrated urine of these bulls is sipped by Zoroastrian kids during their investiture into the religion by the Navjote or Sudreh Pushi ceremony.

The only reason Indian Zoroastrians do not cook beef at home (though many eat it) is because of the promise we made to the Hindu king Jadi Rana when we landed in Gujarat.
