Practical steps towards making a real think tank!

hello all the respected members of PDF i am hoping if senior members can guide me to knowing what are the practical steps involved in creating a real think tank like not a web based one and if all the funding is arranged for already can any senior members enlight me with his views anything useful you say in this regard is highly appreciated best regards M

Thank you sir asim for replying my main worry is that can it be done in a city like faisalabad???? because never of this sort has been Done here and I have previously said all the funding is arranged for I believe if it's advertised in a national news paper lot of people will come onboard for the pay offcourse but who will define the criteria of selection one would need a team right? team of ppl with high intellect and some ex professionals but all the ones I see are attached to some organizations already and the ones who wud respond will come for financial reasons So what I am trying to say is that can it work if just very common citizens are involved and one pay them a handsome amount or is the a job for pure professionals? And to the other brother no I don't believe wikipedia is a realiable way to get information I read it but just for the sake of reading nothing can substitute personal experience regards M

If you know your mission statement (ideological bent), then all you need is to identify people who are already well-connected and invite them to join.

I doubt you would form a think tank by putting want ads in the newspaper.

Thanks fir replying sir you are right to some extent that already employees and well connected people won't come because of previous affiliations and I mentioned it in my post too but add is just a start I am sure few pll will come along even if the ordinary citizens come forward I am sure it will be a good start cuz the things they need wud be there and slow and steady wins the race and down the road if some really brilliant individual thing will go great then thank you so much for your input regards M
