SUKKUR: Advocate Umme Rubab Chandio has leveled allegations against Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) for protecting the killers of her father and other family members, ARY News reported on Monday.

Addressing a press conference in Sukkur, she accused Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah of providing shelter to the killers and added that he is a major hurdle in the way of justice in the triple murder case.

“PPP leadership and Murad Ali Shah is guarding the killers of my family members. If CM Murad cannot provide me justice, so he should not become a hurdle in the way of justice,” she added.

Umm-e-Rabab said that her father, uncle and grandfather were gunned down by two former PPP MPAs in 2018. She once again demanded the arrest of the murderers of her father and other family members, who she claimed was enjoying police protection because of political influenced.

It must be noted that Umme Rubab’s father Mukhtiar Chandio, grandfather Karamullah Chandio and paternal uncle Kabil Chandio were gunned down on Jan 17, 2018, within the remit of Faridabad police station, Mehar taluka of Dadu district.

Umm-e-Rubab is pursuing the case of her slain family members by herself.

The case was highlighted last year when a video of a barefooted Umm-e-Rubab walking out from the court went viral on social media.

Rubab revealed that the decision to attend the court proceeding with bare feet was a sign of protest against the justice system, “which is not deemed fair and impartial in many instances,” claimed Rubab.

Well, probably wasn't a good idea for the PPP to take on a large media conglomerate like this.

In general, it seems that reporting from interior Sindh has been pretty limited (perhaps because of the influence and threats of the PPP), so it'll be interesting to see if ARY will now go after the PPP and start reporting on issues that were ignored previously.

It will also be interesting to see how the PPP responds, whether ARY journalists will be threatened, assaulted, prevented from covering certain stories or even killed, and whether the Federal Government will step in to protect ARY.

Wrong.
PPPP is the face of "liberalism" so as trump puts it out" even if gun down someone they will vote for me" stands true for PPPP too

Even if bilawal say in public that he wants to screw sindhis ..they will still vote for him..

The second issue is vadaras hold full sway on their population and noone can vote or stand in election against them..

Unless army steps in things wont change..

Well, PPP believes in one thing and that is free media. So lets see how long free media continues or will they disown their party members. Wait and see.

In her student years at law school she once jumped in front of the chief justice's motorcade with a play card to draw his attention.

media reporting from Sindh is non existent all because these media outlet have some wheeling dealing with peepee and malik riaz. lets hope ARY does it and unmasks peepee pillaging of sindh.

There is a rumoour that a retired DG ISI is going to be the governor of Sindh, hope its for the good

First thing first Karachi needs to be seperated from Sindh and should be taken under Federal. Karachi is suffering due to this. For God sake its the financial capital of Pakistan. Once that happens Sindh should be gradually snatched from PPP. The place of PPP and PMLN is behind bars and not in Parliament. Here i would also like to add that if PTI is smart it should start promoting Ghanwa Bhutto. She and her children should be the ones carrying on Bhutto name and not this fake Namard Hijra Bilawal.

Even if IK himself steps down from PM-ship and takes up the role of Sindh governor, nothing is going to change because at the end of the day the governor is even more useless position than the president. Just a fully expense paid guest for five years and only good for photo shoots etc. Obviously if PTI government implements governor rule in Sindh then the equation changes.

Where are #MeToo walay, #AuratMarch walay, desi feminists, Jibbi boy? Anyone?

Our tv channels are badly and openly politicized now. Hardly any journalism.
