Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader and Opposition leader in the National Assembly Syed Khursheed Shah lamenting Geo said on Sunday that it was Geo’s custom to to humiliate people and it was the first time that someone has counter attacked them.

Talking to the media outside the airport here, Shah said closing a news channel will not be a good deed

On Imran Khan reaction towards a certain media group , opposition leader said that a politican should follow what he has said in the past as Imran was a great supporter of both Geo and Former Cheif justice Iftekhar Chudary.

He further said Imran Khan has not contacted us for May 11 protests.

Freedom of speech is permitted, abuse of freedom is not. Freedom never means absence of law but rather it is unanimous agreement of a society on boundaries and punishment for breaching them.

Geo has grown taller than it could sustain.. I will be happy to see it getting into a size which it can manage itself and we are talking about 0.0 meters tall.

Some people and institutions do deserve to be humiliated in public by exposing their wrong doings. That is a role of the media doing its job properly.

That is exactly why a diversity of media channels is a must. Let the other channels expose what PML-N and Geo are doing wrong by doing their job of reporting properly too. The solution is for every one to speak up, not to ask any one else to be banned. Let the people be exposed to any and all information and let them decide.

This will get messy, ARY was boycotted by PMLN for a year or so, Geo boycotted by PPP, sh Rasheed and now PTI and also by those against who propaganda was done or not given the chance to present their view, individuals like Babar Sattar, who wrote for the news for 7 years and Geo did a defamatory campaign against him, and refused to publish his articles...

so first PEMRA needs to implement rules and regulations, the right to abuse and lie is not freedom of expression. its a crime.
