The deal is almost finalized. There is one last new game that westerners have started in last minutes: Refusing to lift sanctions on weapon and arm sales to Iran, while they are a part of nuclear related sanctions. And the reason is obvious:

They know by lifting arms sanctions, Iran's military power will increase exponentially, and they don't want that. They are trying to impose their will in this very particular case, while sanctions against arms sales is completely related to nuclear issue, so if the nuclear issue is solved, arms embargo should also be lifted. This is the most challenging remaining issue, others are either solved are are being solved.

I guess sanctions will be lifted on selling new airplanes to Iran (commercial) but not militarily. I doubt they will lift the militarily sanctions which will be a violation of their own words and the Geneva agreement.

Mullajs know that they need the deal while at the same time, they have to play the tune of "resistance" to maintain their support base because they depend on it to keep their power. Iranians, at the time of revolution, would shout "neither west or east, only the Islamic republic", this meant that Iran was taking no sides in the cold war. It wasn't willing to trade one boss for another. This obviously pissed of the world leaders because up to then, countries where either being puppets of USA or Russia. Iran got involved in Syria when gulf countries and west laid the groundwork for Islamic terrorists to all gather in Syria. If we let Syria and Iraq fall, they will only spread and eventually come to our borders.
