Powerful images of wounded Syrian girl go viral
By Chandrika Narayan, CNN

(CNN)It's another haunting picture of a wounded child from Syria. This one has also gone viral on social media.

The video and images were posted online by a pro-opposition activist group, Talbiseh Media Center.
It shows an 8-year-old girl in a medical facility, her hair and body covered with dust. There's blood tricking down her forehead, her nose. She looks confused and scared and keeps calling out for her father.
Off camera, a man talks to her, asking for her name.
"Aya" she replies, crying.
"Where were you when this happened?" the questioner asks.
"At home but the roof fell on us," she replies, looking around for her father.
"Oh Daddy... Daddy, come," she cries.
Hospital staff and volunteers try to clean her up and attend to her wounds, as she continues to sob.
Aya was pulled from under rubble along with her family members when an airstrike hit their home in Talbiseh on Monday. Talbiseh, a large town in northwestern Syria, is about 10 kilometers north of Homs. Activists there say at least two people were killed and 30 wounded in three airstrikes that targeted residential areas of their town.
Aya's mother, father and three siblings were wounded in the strike.
Aya, the oldest among her siblings, has been reunited with her family and they are all doing OK, activists said.
The family is now looking for a place to stay because their house was destroyed by the airstrike, according to a spokesperson with the Talbiseh Media Center.
Before and after
Activists posted a poster shows two strikingly different images of Aya on Facebook.

Activists posted a poster of two images of Aya, before and after a strike hit her town of Talbiseh.
One image shows Aya at her school in Talbiseh on Sunday, October 9, a day before the airstrike destroyed her home.
The second image shows the 8-year-old girl at the medical facility after the airstrike.
Activists wrote sarcastic comments under the Facebook post.
"Warplanes messed her beautiful hair up and colored her face red," it said.
Several heartbreaking images from Syria have captured the world's attention, including that of a 5-year-old boy from Aleppo, also wounded in an airstrike. About a year ago the world reacted in horror to the image of Alan Kurdi, a Syrian toddler who drowned trying to escape a war that was older than he was.
As nations work to find a way out of the conflict, there has been more bombing in Syria.
Sixteen people were killed in renewed airstrikes in rebel-held Aleppo after nearly a week of relative calm, according to activists and residents.
The city of Aleppo has become the epicenter and key battleground in Syria's war that has now raged for more than five years.
CNN's Mohammed Tawfeek and Daniel Nikbakht contributed to the story.

Another war mongering article from CNN. They're just itching to launch an intervention into another Muslim country for their greater Israel agenda.

This same CNN claimed that Saddam Hussein had WMD's in 2003 and that Gaddafi was oppressing a democratic movement in Libya (lmao, yeah right, how's that Libyan "democracy" going?).

If CNN truly cared about Muslims getting bombed then why don't they show the victims of Obama and Bush's Drone Strikes??

Western media is one big stinking bullsh!t artist.

This is sad!!! I hate this world sometimes.
This world is a test for us. The key is to learn and acquire knowledge and skills to face the difficulties with smiles and take them in our strides :). As a Muslim, it is a temporary abode for us.

What about those children attacked by terrorists controlled by USA and its allies? They too are Syrian children.

This picture is indeed heart rending. May God help Syria. The problem is when the sentiment of such pictures is used for political reasons. West has all means and propaganda tools to exploit sentiments aroused by such pictures for its political ends and objectives in Syria. While we do get emotional seeing them, we should step back and understand media stunts behind such ghastly pictures.

The situation in Syria is because of foreign funded terror. These terrorists are not showering petals on Syrians or garlanding them. They are brutally killing them without remorse.

That might be the case and I am by no means down playing the loss of innocent life in the recent Russian and Syrian airstrikes in Syria. However we must understand that this sudden display of Western sympathy for the people of Syria has a nefarious agenda behind it. How come this same media arm of the Western political elite remained aloof to the victims of NATO and American airstrikes on hospitals, schools, mosques, wedding processions, etc.....??

There is a political agenda involved here to start a war with Syria. And as terrible as the Syrian and Russian airstrikes have been, keep in mind this whole bloodshed would not be taking place right now if the West and it's regional Muslim allies had not armed and trained so called "moderate" rebels to plunge Syria into bloodbath.

Keep an eye on American politics and see how the elites are itching to start a war. Hillary Clinton openly blames Russians for the war in Syria compare Russia and Assad to Hitler and Nazi Germany. They want war and they have unleashed a propaganda towards that end.

in that case this is what they would say, if say anything:

United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon made a startling admission Thursday, saying he bowed to pressure over a report that blasted Saudi Arabia for child casualties that have resulted from its bombing campaign in Yemen.

Ban called it one of the most difficult choices he had to face. The U.N. report on children in armed conflict worldwide describes, in Ban's words, "the horrors no child should have to face."

He made clear that U.N. funding was at stake. "I also had to consider the very real prospect that millions of other children would suffer grievously if, as was suggested to me, countries would de-fund many U.N. programs," he said.

He didn't name the countries that threatened to cut off funding to the U.N., but it was clear he came under pressure from Saudi Arabia and other coalition members.

for some time i use to think that syria will get better after some years.but now i think this is all a conspiracy of west to creat a ulcer in muslim world in the middle of arab lands.so that in the future they could destablize the whole muslim world.

Children are dying every single day by US made bombs in Yemen, torn to pieces, we can't even post their pics here.

Now let's take a look at what the hypocrite US had to say about massacres in Yemen:

The US says Saudi Arabia’s bombing of Yemen was an act of “self-defense” against Iranian missiles on its border. Link

How pathetic can one become? They say Saudis are killing Yemeni children in act of 'self defense' which is the most pathetic lie one can come up with. It was Saudis who launched attacks on Yemen, before that, there was not a single cross border attack against Saudi invaders. It's Yemenis who are defending themselves against US-supplied weapons and their client states, aka KSA, Qatar, UAE, etc.

That's why no one should fall for the crocodile tears in US and western media. They don't give a flying fu** about children anywhere in the world, be it Syria, Yemen or anywhere else.

The saddest part is, Muslims are falling for these propaganda, no wonder Muslim world is drowning in its own blood and stupidity.

.
Keep pointing fingers at each other. This is why Muslims are so much humiliated around the world and have no say in world politics despite being a substantial numbers. Muslim were supposed to be one nation. But when our national interests, our political interests and our sectarian interests collide, we dont even think for a second the person we are going to harm is a fellow Muslim.

When Saudi Arabia and Qatar primarily started this mischief in Syria, they had their geopolitical interests not Muslim interests in mind. Saudi Arabia has a history to provide religious terrorists for a larger imperial goal be it US now or British before them.

Assad is a very bad guy. I dont even know. But whats happening in Syria hiding behind this statement is even worse than Assad could have done bad many times over.

Look at Yemen right now. Because Yemen is weak, Saudi Arabia is bombing hell out of that country.

I m not a shia but I cant accept this sectarian politics and killing fellow Muslims in name of their sect. Iran and Saudi Arabia both are guilty of this crime. Stop this madness. And get the hell out of Syria.

Its the opposite to ur claims. When US hit hospital in Afghanistan it was all over news for months. When Assad kills dozens including in hospitals its barely mentioned. Just today Assad killed another 40-50 people and its nowhere in news.

Again its the opposite. We have a bloodbath because West did NOT arm the rebels when Assad was rapidly losing ground in 2011-2012.

Assad is corrupt dictator who represents tiny minority sect, he has no any chance to rule whole Syria again. Anyone who supports that psychopath is prolonging the war and bloodbath.

That's a lie. It was only covered for a day on major news networks. Since then the only coverage is regarding the civil implications of the 'incident'. There's a lot more coverage of injured children in Aleppo than there ever was about that hospital attack, and of course they have never even once covered the innocent children and civilians killed when rebels shell Assad areas.

Again its the opposite. We have a bloodbath because West did NOT arm the rebels when Assad was rapidly losing ground in 2011-2012.

You still have never explained why the war in Syria is any of the west's business. We don't owe anyone there anything.

There is also no mention of Saudi Arabia massacring innocents in Yemen. And of course no mention of Israel murdering children like the 10 year old you just killed. http://www.jokpeme.com/2016/10/israeli-forces-shoot-and-kill-10-year.html
