Pandu Area was captured by Indian Army 77th Para brigade on 31st May 1948 in Jammu and Kashmir , Pakistan Army thought this is very important area and we should capture it , This area is 9178 feet above Sea level . Capturing this area was difficult due to its height , but Pakistan Army 101 Infantry Brigade was tasked to Capture it , After 6 days fight ( 19th - 24th July ) , On 24th July 1948 this area came in Pakistan Army control . From 24th July 1948 ( almost 73 years ) this area is in Pakistan Army Control . This area is very important Strategically especially for defense of the Jehlum Valley and Overseeing the Srinagar- Muzafarabad Road .

First Nishan E Haider was given to Captain Raja Muhammad Sarwar Shaheed , Who fought very bravely near this Sector .

Very insightful video detailing the surveilance that the Indian Army does along the LOC, in fact, there's even a snap in that video of a drone just a few feet overhead PA personnel overlooking their activities at a PA post. Thoughts?

not clear that post and men seen in that drone video are Pakistani. its highly unlikely, as it ll be shot down imediately if it ventures so close. what is clear in the video is that indian army has already started using thr new SIG 716 assault rifles.

The starts of video looks like a toned down version of dramas showed by that Indian Channel, Colours or Colour, whatever its called. Firstly, the way this reporter is reporting in a manner as if he is whispering and cannot talk in a normal way of reporting as to alert Pakistani forces of his presence and then he could get fired at. Compare this to the way Wajahat had reported on LOC, he walked like he owns the LOC. This Indian reporter is just creating suspense out of thin air.

That Indian soldier is firing single shots at the enemy and the reporter sitting behind without even wearing a blue helmet or a sign showing 'reporter' on his jacket, shows that this all topi-drama creating thrill. Then the soldier tilts his head and says hamaray saamnay enemy (enemy in front of us), what training manual says to take your eye off the enemy when the enemy is in front of you and tilt your head to talk to a reporter ? Non sense.

Next, you see the reporter going in an underground bunker, but he doesnt want to use the word 'bunker', he says HQ and then enters a surveillance room. Now ask any sane person after seeing those monitors that how can anyone cross areas of LOC being monitored 24 hours through many devices and then create incidents like Uri and Pulwama ? And even then if Indian Army says that militants crossed then their equipment is Bull crap itself. The amount of lies that come from inside India contradicts ground reality that comes in some form or another through India's own media and this video is a living proof of many sorts, especially drones.

Next probably thats the GOC of some Mountain Division standing in the SVL room which he mentions as being dug out some 60-70 feet under ground. This proves that Pakistani Artillery fire is very effective and since such rooms are dug out at a decent distance behind the LOC, means that Pakistan Artillery has a very good range.

Then he shows damage to a side of a Pakistani post and says that its been covered by a sandbag. Its only showing that Indian fire cannot destroy Pakistani posts but damage them to a certain extent which is then repaired by PA. whats the damn achievement then ? Price of a sandbag i guess.

He mentions Haji pir and how he is hiding behind trees to save himself from Pakistani posts, another way to create thrill and suspense. He shows an AA gun probably 30-35 mm calibre aimed at Pakistani posts, and then says that Pakistanis have no clue about its location. Firstly, Indian Army has been using these for a long time, secondly, WLRs can detect the location of fire. The position can also be made out if firing occurs at night.

He shows a picture taken by IA drone of what i think are Pakistani troops, not sure, but if its of PA troops then it doesn't mean that fire by weapons can also reach where surveillance reaches, yes it gives a picture of movement and positions. The GOC says that they are looking for things out of ordinary to detect something is happening. I wonder why did they fail in detecting so-called militants crossing over for Uri and Pulwama incidents then. This is just contradiction everywhere. Lies.

This video gives a lots of proofs, e.g. the same drone type that PA shoots now and then on LOC is shown in this video. Whenever such a thread of shot down Indian drone is posted, the Indian members on PDF start saying that this drone being flown by some civilian enthusiast or any other moronic excuses that they can come up with, but its now clear that Indian Army uses these amateurish drones for surveillance along LOC. Enough proof to show to Indian members next time, i think DesertFighter, Areesh and their Brigade will have a field day now whenever PA shoots down another Indian drone on LOC.

What I find enlightening from that video is their surveillance capability, the fact that they have a live video on all PA posts opposite their own posts. Wonder where these cameras/devices are placed to get such a clear view and why these can't be targeted?

Also regarding the drones, I believe the IA have openly admitted that they now employ the Mavic drones along the LOC for surveilance - can dig out an article for that. These drones/quadcopters can be shot down quite easily, but what about the use of the Heron TP UAV in artillery targeting mode? I don't know how frequently they use it, but they showed a video of the UAV overlooking supposed PA positions across LOC under a fire assault and it was recorded via the UAV directly overhead.

There's always Indian nonsense on non-state activity and infiltration, but I do think 'trans-loc raids' as they call it, take place between both armies to send a message and to 'psychologically dominate'. Would imagine surveilance capabilities qould need to be degraded or not working at certain times for such raids to take place along a stretch of the targeted posts/patrolling parties.

yes they are using drones on LOC extensively but so are we. few years back there was a viral video from CH 3 or 4 drone of exploding Indian Army dumping point or some battalion HQs. Video was from 2016, around the time of their first surjical strike drama.

there are two kinds of people in this world. first, those who prefer this world over the next . they generally rose to higher echelons of power, wealth and status. second are those who prefer the next world over this one. vast majority of them are generally poor and unknown to the world.

True, I remember that. Just that the impression from ISPR, at least since Asif Ghafoor left in Jan 2020, is very defensive, there seems to be little vigour and aggression against any CFVs but obviously that doesn't mean the ground situation is the same.
