Why would Japan (one of China's biggest adversaries) sell it's most sophisticated MPA's to one of Japan's biggest allies?

i was thinking we should buy all the fleet for say 5 mil a piece with all the facilities japs have
that makes 500/600 million
raise 2 squadrons from them rest keep for spares
in future go america buy 8 planes and take 10 from already stored to complete squadron
at the end so mlu for all of em to silent eagles @Khafee

There a lot of surplus F16s C130 and Japanese F15s for sale only issue is pompe and company let's see how it pans out we have to milk this bull called Trump and company.

I would prefer a Chinese option because in that case the MPA can be potentially compatible with any Chinese origin weapon, and their alternatives are much better than the Harpoon. Y-8/9MPA variant very promising.

PN on the other hand wants a jet powered one, so options are.

P-8 Posieden
Saab Swordfish MPA

or
H-6 antiship variant (but current ver doesnt have anti sub capability)

Airbus and Saab could be an option but P-8 is difficult to acquire.
