Bin Qasim Port - Malir District - Karachi - Sindh - Pakistan

The Port Muhammad Bin Qasim , also known as Port Qasim, is a deep-water seaport in Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan, on the coastline of the Arabian Sea. It is Pakistan's second busiest port, handling about 35% of the nation's cargo (17 million tons per annum).

There are now three sea ports in and around Karachi city.

How are there three sea ports there is PQA there is KPT and thats about it.

my father is a marine engineer, had an opportunity to go to PQ, the mangroves seem like jungle and the ships docked in the inlet.

The newly constructed deep water port near west wharf and east wharf is regarded as a new port...could be an extension also. It is one of the biggest in south Asia...

Global port operator Hutchinson Ports has begun the second phase of work on the Pakistan Deep Water Container Port project at the Karachi Port Trust.

The undertaking will see Hutchinson Ports invest USD 240 million into upgrades that will bring the terminal’s container handling capacity to 3.2 million TEU.

I have been there too, the mangrove area is huge, bigger than the size of Karachi city many times over, need to open this for eco tourism and other activities.

And it has become a high security zone because of port Qasim.

There are essentially two ports in Karachi: Port of Karachi (administered by Karachi Port Trust or KPT) and Port Qasim. What you are referring to are terminals located within the Port of Karachi. Hutchison's Pakistan Deep Water Container Port is one of such terminals. Others are Pakistan International Bulk Terminal (PIBT), Karachi International Container Terminal (KICT) and Pakistan International Container Terminal (PICT).

wonderful. cant expect such places in pak. seems well developed. its a shame really that our military and political leaders for their own personal interests handed over the most important city of pakistan to indian agents for past few decades.
