I don't really understand what your point is? If you mean because he wasn’t a Southerner and was a Mormon, he lost, then look at the Electoral College map you posted. He wasn’t a Southerner but he swept the south against Obama. he only lost Virginia and Florida and neither of those are really true southern states anymore. The next most solid area for Evangelical Christians is the central plains states, and again, Romney swept all of those states except Iowa, which is a pretty solid Democratic Party state.

I am confused.....the post you quoted, had perfectly correct logic. What does Romney's being from the South or not being from the South has anything to do with the fact that he lost due to the competition and not due to Christian votes? He was the Republican party's nominee and that's as high as anyone can go, to be a nominee for the Presidential race.....

The difference is the split in Republicans - Moderate Conservatives vs. Tea Party Conservatives

Tea Party Conservatives did not favor Romney.

Tea Party Conservatives are now in full support behind Trump.

How is my pointing out that Mr. Romney carried every southern state in 2012 except Florida and Virginia, somehow make you think that I, "don't understand what a southerner is?"
