Noida: Popular YouTuber held for killing girlfriend's brother who 'came in the way'
A popular YouTuber, Nizamul Khan, whose channel has 9 lakh subscribers, has been arrested for killing his girlfriend's brother who was opposed to their relationship.

A YouTuber with over 9 lakh subscribers to his channel has been arrested for allegedly murdering his girlfriend's brother who opposed to their relationship. The victim, Kamal Sharma, a resident of Nithari, was shot dead on October 28 while he was returning home from work.
The main accused has been identified as Nizamul Khan, a YouTuber who is popular for his videos of him performing bike stunts. Nizamul was allegedly in a relationship with Kamal's sister, which did not go down well with Kamal.
In fact, Kamal had earlier snatched his sister's mobile and beaten up Nizamul, after which the YouTuber decided to kill him.
Two of his aides, one whom is a smack addict, have also been arrested.
Additional Commissioner of Police (Law & Order) Love Kumar said that 26-year-old Kamal Sharma, a resident of Sector-31 Nithari, who was riding a bike, was shot in the waist while descending from the elevated road towards ISKCON temple in the night on October 28. He was on his way home on his bike after finishing duty.
In this case, Sector-24 police station registered a case of murder against unknown, he said.
"During the investigation, the police arrested a YouTuber Nizamul, a resident of Sector-53; Amit Gupta, a resident of Sector-20; and Sumit Sharma, a resident of Brahmapuri, Delhi, from Gijhod village, who were originally involved in the crime. Police have recovered a bike, a pistol, two cartridges and a mobile from the possession of accused. Accused Nizamul had a love affair with Kamal's sister. Kamal used to stop his sister from talking to him. Due to this, Nizamul conspired to kill Kamal," a police statement said.
A day before the incident, the accused did a recce of Kamal's company located in Sector-65 to know the time he leaves the office. On the night of the incident, the accused were chasing Kamal from Sector-65 itself. Nizamul was sitting behind on the bike while Amit was riding the bike. As soon as the bike descended from the elevated towards the ISKCON temple, Nizamul shot Kamal in the waist.
Noida Police tracked footage of more than 80 CCTV cameras to locate the accused. In the CCTV footage, three youths could be seen coming and going on a bike, but the accused could not be identified from that. After this, the police took out the CDR (Call Detail Record) of Kamal's sister's mobile number. The CDR showed that she was constantly talking to Nizamul. Police then arrested the three accused by putting Nizamul's mobile on surveillance.
Police will investigate the involvement of the deceased's sister role. Police said that they will ascertain whether his sister was a part of the conspiracy to murder Kamal.
Nizamul lived on rent in Gijhod while his family is in Sorakha in Noida.
Over 9 lakh subscribers on YouTube
Additional DCP Rannvijay Singh said that Nizamul has more than 9 lakh subscribers on YouTube. The accused posts videos bike stunts on social media platforms including YouTube. One of his videos has been viewed by over 25 lakh people.
Two weeks ago, the accused uploaded a video titled "Female Biker Vs Male Biker" on YouTube. The video has received 1.6 million views.
Nizamul also lured Sumit and Amit, the other two accused in the case, to teach stunts. Apart from YouTube, Nizamul has millions of followers on other social media platforms including Facebook. Nizamul sold his car, that he with his YouTube earnings, some days ago.
Handsome earnings through videos
Nizamul earns Rs 70-80,000 per month through his videos on YouTube. He used to also give some money Sumit, because of which, Sumit supported him. Meanwhile, Amit used to borrow money from Nizamul for drugs. Nizamul and Amit lived together in Nithari some years ago.
Police investigation has revealed that Nizamul and Kamal's younger sister were in a relationship since 2017. Both of them met in 2014 at Sumit's house.
