I don't think so because Russian bombing is so devastating.

Why Russian or Syrian forces even engage in war.....................?

Talk about Europe (in the absence of United States) vs Russia...............................

Hypothetically speaking. Russia took over Crimea in less than a week without a single casualty and the Ukrainian army is much stronger than the Syrian army.

Conventionally? Nope/.

Russians lost about the same amount of soldiers the Ukrainians did.

I'm guessing Syrian soldiers won't even fight. They surrender because no point wasting their lives for nothing. They have no effective air force and air defense to take on the Russian air force and sea launched cruise missiles.

Well Russia doesn't have the ability to invade Syria in large numbers (due to lack of logistics). It has a few thousand troops, most of them there for logistics, in Syria now, that is about their limit. It only entered Syria with Syrian cooperation.

So yes Syria could last for more than a week against the Russians.

@ultron dude we all know you're a russian why do still use US flag...

FYI this is a dumb poll ever posted after our beloved @Superboy

well if they don't surrender immediately , they can stand against Russian army as Russian capability in doing Air and Ground Campaign against Syria will be a lot limited in that scenario.

If the Syrian army fight a regular war it would have no chance. The Syrian air force and navy would be wiped out within a day. Latakia and Tartus would fall within 2 days. Homs and Hama would fall within 4 days. Damascus would fall within 6 days.

The only chance the Syrian army would have is fight a guerilla war and use Iraq as a sanctuary.
