Case registered against PTI activists for violating section 144

Lahore: An FIR has been launched against 600 activists of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) including Ibrar-ul-Haq, Javed Hashmi and Khurshid Qusuri.

The case was filed against the activists for violating section 144 of the constitution, which restricts gathering of two or more than two people on the specified place.

It is to be mentioned here that PTI carried out a protest on Friday (Today) against the ongoing loadshedding crisis in Punjab on Mall road, Lahore.

We were on Fatima Jinnah Road, not Mall road... neither we carried the Rally on Mall road, but from Mazang to Mall road. there was no way this could violate court order to carry rallies on mall road.

do you know a rally was carried out by pmln day before. Did punjab launch fir against them? SS also said people to come out on roads and he will join them. Did he join people ? In reality pmln sucks a big time like its father zardari.

Why to highlight a failed rally with only couple of hundered participant appeared in a Mega city like Lahore and that too when the Mighty, TITANIC PTI’s President himself leading it…..as I say you are totally nut…LOL…!!

Moreover and extreme regretfully the issue on which this rally carried out is most contentious among public now a days but still PTI fails miserably…..accept my deepest sympathy on this Poor Show…!!

CM Punjab directs IG Punjab to withdraw case against PTI

Lahore: Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif on Friday directed Inspector General (IG) Punjab to withdraw case, filed for violating section 144, against 600 activists of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.
The chief minister said that rallies and protests are an integral part of democracy but it should be carried out peacefully.
Talking to media Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah said that case filed against PTI leaders and activists would be withdrawn.
Sanaullah said that roads should not be blocked for long periods adding that PTI blocked the road for around half an hour.
“PML-N has not carried out a rally at Mall road,” he said adding that they were gathered for the parliamentary meeting of the party.

Okay this is ridiculous - first ask your Law minister to file a case against PTI, then come on the media & withdraw it & hail democracy. We have seen too much of bollywood movies to understand all of this Mr. Sharif.

The case was taken back just because last night ISF Punjab President Farrukh Habib and ISF Punjab Team were at Civil Lines police station along with other PTI members filed application of FIR against Rana Sana Ullah and Malik Pervaiz who did rally on mall road Lahore day before yesterday.
