Lol. You attack hinduism all day long on PDF, yet we are the one spreading Hindu nationalism. Don't make PDF cartoonery.
Don't stop a man from practising his religion.

People like him say how Jinnah was right and created a safe haven for South Asian Muslims. How bad Muslims are treated in India. And yet they don't want to provide refuge to their persecuted brothers.

. . .
So this means that we have got the right to ridicule their beliefs and at the same time expect them not to respond.

Sounds unreasonable.

No. I don't think that we have right to attack anyone's religious beliefs.

hi,

As people are aware that India presently is not only going through Corona virus but a virus called Hindu Nationalsm which i think is multifold more harmful, there is no social media where this virus has not plagued and there are always anti muslim vitriol and diarrhea spread by this hindu nationalist bug. This is creating very bad environment in the PDF

I think that its time PDF enacts some kind of social isolation for this virus so that it doesnt take over this forum and make it sick.

The only way for this forum to be safe from this virus is mass permanent banning policy of members who are involved in hate campaigns.

regards

I support it 110%. Something needs to be done about these savages.

I support your stance but what about the muslim "Savages" amongst us busy ridiculing their religion, shouldn't there be a policy to stop that as well or just because we are in majority so we have every right to insult and ridicule anyone we want.

@SIPRA there was a time when PDF was a healthy place.

Classy brainy guys on both sides.

Then something happened to all the Hindus here.

Not very different to what happened in Pakistan after Partition.

They just disappeared.

Now you are left with "debating" with 10 odd surviving Indians.

Civilizational conflict between Hindus and Muslims, of subcontinent, is so deep rooted and intense, that any reasonable and fruitful communication, between both, is close to impossible. Nothing new. This is same, since, at least, 1857. PDF is mere reflection of this old phenomenon.

You can trace the 'descent into madness' (on this forum and elsewhere) to the aftermath of the Mumbai attacks and then the rise in TTP terrorism in Pakistan. I experienced the hardline tilt in (till that point) good, rational and even handed posters on both sides.

This being a Pakistani forum, the new Pakistani hardliners survived better than the new Indian hardliners.

@VCheng @AgNoStiC MuSliM @jbgt90 @Joe Shearer

We have seen completely liberal Pakistani supermods going radical. Forget about the multiple generations of lay populace.

Thanks for memories of excellent discussions, but, as @I.R.A said it best in another thread:

........ Thanks for mentioning me but I don't have the energy to become part of an unfair, unjust, intolerant, self appraising team, they don't have it in them neither they deserve it. ..... I think they deserve their existing pool of mods.

@padamchen hello ogre, kya hall hain? how's everyone? Nephew bhabi g hope everyone is good and safe and sound. Tu to ogre hay tujay salay kya hona hy

Ride often and have fun!

I know you are first gen.

But most of us came here exactly because of Mumbai.

Mumbai gave PDF its biggest and brightest Indian generation of posters (class of 2009).

I actually enjoyed the forum a lot more before the Mumbai attacks. There were quite a few Indian and American posters that I respected and could almost call 'forum friends'. The nature of the forum (primarily defence/military affairs) obviously attracted a more nationalistic crowd from both sides, but even with that nationalism there used to be excellent debates. We still didn't agree on Kashmir or who was obsessed more with whom or development comparisons and all that, but it just seemed to be less heated and confrontational. Yes, the Mumbai attacks & TTP terrorism brought in good posters, but there was also an influx of individuals on both sides solely with the intent of trolling the other side, and the atmosphere got poisoned for everyone.

I think to be fair the atmosphere got really bad in 2013-14 in the runup to Modi coming to power.

The maximum number of vernacular abusive posters from both sides trace their joining date to those two years.
