I feel insulted when India is described as being a third world country, because I myself am from a third world country so I don't want such medieval people to be compared to us, a new term should be invented for India, fourth world country maybe! if that term even exists.

TBH, Iraq isn't much better. You couldn't pay me to travel there. If there's two countries that are permanently off my bucket list, it's Afghanistan and Iraq. BOTH these countries + India belong in the Fourth World.

Even Pakistan seems to be a step up.

A group of ten children aged between 7 to 10 was stopped by the police of Thana Gabhana of Aligarh who was running on the road. When policemen on duty stopped them and asked where are they the going, the reply by the kids surprised the policemen, as the children innocently said that they were going to China to avenge the death of 20 Indian soldiers.

Policemen posted at Thana Ghabana feared something wrong must have happened when they saw ten children running on the road. When the policeman stopped them and asked the reason, they innocently said, “Chin se badla lene jaa rahe hai, usne hamare jawano ko maar dia hai” (we are going to take revenge on China, they have killed our soldiers). After this, the policeman told them affectionately that they do not need to fight the enemy until they have grown up and eligible for a job. The policeman also told them, ‘as long as we exist you don’t need to fight, you stay at home and concentrate on studies.’

On the night of 15 June, China’s People Liberation Army resorted to attacking the Indian army personnel that took a violent turn which led to casualties on both sides along the LAC at the Galwan valley in Ladakh. While India has confirmed 20 casualties, the Chinese authorities have not given official figures. However, it is believed that the casualties of Chinese troops would be above 40.

It was reported that the Chinese troops had attacked unarmed Indian soldiers with barbed wire, stones, and batons studded with nails. Many of the soldiers had succumbed to the harsh environment following injuries and after falling down into the river during the bloody skirmish.

Fair play to them, at least they show more courage than the RSS and other Hindu fanatic groups who'd rather kill Indian Muslims and burn shops selling Chinese goods than fight.

if you are an Indian in Singapore then yeah ofcourse you wouldn't want to come here,
though we do have dozens of thousands of mainly Bangladeshis & to a less extent Indians come here for work, there were rumors that foreign migrant workers were mistreated here but frankly I have never seen any mistreatment toward migrant workers, a comparison between two poor countries is not to find which is the better one but which is the least worst one, the lesser of two evils since both have very bad living standards.

No man, your country (and Afghanistan) are far too dangerous for travellers. Maybe add Yemen to the list too. I have been all over the GCC but still not sure whether I should visit Iraq. Although I'm sure you all are a very hospitable people.

actually I totally agree with you on this one, personaly I'm satsified with my living standards (though my living standards probably only represent the upper 10% of the population, so I don't represent my people at all economicaly) however if there is one thing that would force me to change the place of residsnce then that would be security, however I wouldn't get out of Iraq altogether instead I will go to the north (Dohuk, Arbil) the security in the Kurdistan region is quite good, as good as any other country, even most Arabs (me included) in the center & south would agree that the Kurds did a superb job of maintaing security much better than Baghdad, Kurds mostly aren't welcoming for Arabs however they are very welcoming of Christians so I'm good to go.
