"Polish Defence Minister Antoni Macierewicz and his Turkish counterpart, Fikri Isik, have signed a letter of intent on expanding electronic warfare capabilities. The document paves the way for multinational collaboration aimed at achieving the capability to launch an electromagnetic attack from the air."

Koral Mobile Radar Electronic Warfare System:

Koral EW is the Turkish military’s latest addition to its electronic warfare capabilities. Designed by Turkey’s state-owned Aselsan Corporation, this electronic defense/electronic attack system is designed to jam and deceive conventional and complex types of hostile radar, and analyzes multiple target signals in a wide frequency range, automatically generating appropriate response thanks to its digital radio frequency memory (DRFM) capability. Koral reportedly could jam and deceive any land, sea and airborne radar systems.

''We don't exactly know what 'Koral' system is capable of. It might disable S-400 air defense system and it is a disaster to think S-400 disabled.'' Prof. Konstantin Sinkov, Academy of Russian Geopolitics

"MEHPOD is an indigenous pod system developed to provide protection and survivability of fighters against RF guided threats.

Capabilities:

- Electronic Protection against RF guided threats
- Easy integration to fighters as a standalone pod
- Threat detection, classification and identification in E-J band
- RF energy transmission enabling deceptive and noise jamming techniques in a dynamic threat enviroment
- Tracking and jamming the threats autonomously
- Phased array antenna and solid state transmitter architecture (AESA)
- Fully programmable mission data file architecture

Teechnologies:

- Instantenous frequency measurement (IFM)
- High-sensitivy superhet digital deceiver
- Digital RF memory (DRFM)
- Solid state power amplifiers (SSPA)
- Active electronic scanner array (AESA)
- Aerodynamic design with low drag index
- Qualification and Certification
- Self-contained ECS and power systems"

Turkey’s jammer plane may take off soon April 7, 2015

SOJG-550.jpg

"Looking to improve its defense capability, Turkey has launched a tender for a stand-off jammer, an aircraft equipped with a jamming system. Four Turkish companies ASELSAN, the main military contractor, Duygu Aviation and Defense, Savronik and Tempus companies made their bids at the recently-held tender.

The stand-off jammer will have the capability to paralyze air defense systems from a distance of 400 kilometers, an effective assistance in air raids. The aircraft can jam radar, radio and phone systems effectively from a safe distance. Any long-range missile threat will be eliminated without the execution of the country's air defines systems, thanks to the airborne jammer. Warplanes escorted by the jammer aircraft essentially turn into "phantom" planes, as it makes their detection by enemy air defense impossible.

The project has been in the pipeline since 1999 and saw a revival in 2013 after the government ordered the Undersecretariat of Defense Industry, the top authority in the acquisition of the new military equipment, to resume the project."
