PML-N President Nawaz Sharif on Sunday said his party, on coming to power, would end armed wings of political parties in Karachi

Talking to media persons here, Nawaz Sharif said Karachiites were facing barbarism due to negligence of the political forces which ruled the country for five years, adding PML-N would remove the miseries of the metropolis city. He said PPP should tell the people about its performance during the last five years.
Commenting on Pervez Musharraf’s detention, Nawaz said he should be tried under the law for violating the Constitution twice besides putting the sovereignty of the country at stake.
The PML-N chief said: “Though PTI Chairman Imran Khan criticises his party at all forums, we will not victimise or take political revenge from any individual or party on coming to power.” Nawaz said though there were many hurdles to peaceful, free and transparent polls, they should not be postponed at any cost.
APP adds: Nawaz Sharif has said that former president Pervez Musharaf should be dealt in accordance with the law of the land.
Musharaf had violated the law of the country by damaging the institution of judiciary and dismissing an elected government on October 12, he claimed while talking to a private TV channel.
Replying to a question, Nawaz said that law should be equal for every individual of the country. He urged the people to elect democratic forces, considering their role in the past, in forthcoming elections.
The people of the country had the right to elect their real representatives in forthcoming elections, he said.
Nawaz said his party would decide the name for the office of prime minister if it came into power in the upcoming elections. Nawaz claimed his party would resolve all the issues of the country if people supported PML-N in the elections. Nawaz urged collective efforts of all political parties to face the challenges of Pakistan including terrorism. He suggested that negotiations should be held with Taliban to maintain peace and tranquillity in the country.
Nawaz hoped the elections would be held in a free, fair and transparent manner. The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) was functioning according to the Constitution, he added.
