So supposedly this happened around 2001; I am not sure if it was before or after 9/11. Allegedly, the accused had strong ties to CIA and was able to suppress the incident. For some of us who have lived a good part of their lives in USA will only laugh at this premise. You have to understand that in USA Police are under Municipal government, judiciary is under the State and CIA is a federal organization. Then there is media monitoring daily events even at the local level and they are using police scanners to do this. That is way too many levels of administration to bypass to save one Pakistani national.
