Maulana and PPP’s politics are diametrically dissimilar, PPP and PMLN undermine each other and slander in the run up to all previous elections. All these parties and people have different views, sometimes opposing perspectives; they even have different aims, and aren’t all willing to go as far as Nawaz and Maulana. However, they do all consider this government to be selected via heavy handed political engineering, they do consider this government to be using state institutions to crackdown on media and political freedom, and they believe that the army is too involved in politics and subverts our democracy. They also additionally believe that if the army were to step back to their prescribed limits, this government would not last long on its own legs.

That is almost the whole story, all else is just noise and counter-propaganda.

So how do we decide who gets to form a govt in Pakistan? Election results are not acceptable then why remedy has not been sought through election commisions and courts - the same remedy PPP and PMLN used to lecture PTI when they were protesting against rigging. You keep saying the govt wont stand on its leg - then what will happen? MNAs and MPAs will leave PTI and start joining PPP and PMLN to form a coalition govt together? The vast support we see in public space for PTI and in surveys and rallies were all just a facade? These are all just opposition grape vines theories created to keep their base motivated.

What you are brushing under the carpet as noise and propaganda is actually the true nature of these people, and reflects what these groups stand for. Had IK even given a slight hint of pushtoon nationalisim or played a religious card you along with rest of the brigade would have been shouting “Taliban Khan” and “closet Extremist” etc.

There may have been political interference in some seats in Punjab , like it always had happened , but what about Sindh? Do those poor people even get an election at all? Are people not ruled under a terror mafia of landlords who actually display the worst form of using state apparatus to do corruption and force their way in elections? Do you think Karachi actually wanted to vote for PPP and Army forced PTI on that city? Is it JUIF and ANP whom the noble people of KPK had originally desired and PTI as forced its way in? The majority won by PTI in last elections is completely legit and justifiable - by and large no way this is simply a military propped up regime. PTI is a genuine political party that has widespread support at grass root levels in all provinces just like PPP (used to) and PMLN.

What you state as curbing political freedom is basically the accountability drive that IK had always promised. If it is just poltical victimization, than as proclaimors of democracy and rule of law, prove these cases as such in the court with valid arguments and evidences. I definitely agree that the process is largely one sided, but those cases on merits are genuine and require due processes as per the law. If these cases were mere victimization then PROVE them in IHC, LHC and SC - those forums are available for them. Fight the legal battle legally! The secret meetings with military officials recently disclosed just show how much these opposition parties lack in genuineness and integrity.
