Outside the PDF bubble, we know PTI is getting wrecked in Punjab in the next elections. It may hold on to KPK but its doom and gloom everywhere else.
Imran Khan has been handed a rough hand, no doubt. He can't do much about global oil prices or the price of Palm Oil. Couple that with a overly hostile media, he is playing an unfair game. At the same time, the less said about his team selection, the better.
TLP which was the 3rd largest party in 2018 in Punjab, is now front and center in Punjab. It claims to have the support of all Braelvi elements which makeup the majority in Punjab. Recently, it forced the state to kneel down with none other than our Sipah Salar Field Marshall General Muhtaram Bajwa begging Mufti Muneeb to negotiate a deal with them. In one stroke, a message has been sent to the electorate that we made the state kneel down and we mean business.
TLP has a certain votebank that is completly commited to it and won't stop until our morning starts not with Fajr prayers but by chanting Labaik Labaik Labaik. The lower unemployed class also supports it and will be attracted towards its simplistic solutions of the very complex economic problems faced by Pakistan.
In this case scenario, PML seems to be the only alternative to Labaik. Although in the long run, it will be dislodged too but at least come next elections, it has positioned itself has the only sole alternative to TLP in Punjab.
I know Maryum Nawaz is an A-Grade *****zadi but given the choice between Shebaz Sharif and Saad Rizvi, who would you rather have running our country?
