Friday, May 17, 2013 - Lahore—Pakistan Muslim League-N has evolved a 10-point agenda for the first 100 days of its government. Nawaz Sharif is expected to unveil the 10-point agenda during his first speech to the nation after taking oath as the prime minister, sources said.

The 10-point agenda include resolution of energy crisis, bringing down inflation, improving law and order situation, revival of the economy, improving relations with world based on mutual respect are some of the points that topped the priority agenda of the PML-N, the sources said.

On Thursday, former finance and foreign Minister Sartaj Aziz held a meeting with Nawaz Sharif and discussed the salient features of the agenda. Sources claimed that Sartaj Aziz is likely to be given important slot of advisorship in new setup.

The PML-N believes that the challenge ahead of it is not only to re-establish the supremacy of law and ensure respect for democratic institutions, but to create a society that is based on social justice and ensures the well-being of all Pakistanis without any discrimination, the sources said, adding: “One of the most important pre-conditions for economic revival is the restoration of confidence of the business community and other stakeholders in the future of the country.”

Despite getting majority, the PML-N is looking to take MPs of all parties onboard to help the country in these testing times. The PML-N believes that collective efforts and wisdom were needed to steer the country out of prevailing crises, a senior PML-N leader and MNA-elect from NA-123 Muhammad Pervaiz Malik said.

On Thursday, five independent legislators-elect, three from Balochistan, one each from North Waziristan and Bahawalnagar formally joined the PML-N reposing full confidence in the PML-N leadership.

Three independents from Balochistan namely Dostain Domki, Khalid Magsi and Jam Kamal and one from Syed Mohammad Asgher Shah met the PML-N President Nawaz Sharif at his Raiwind residence and reposed full confidence in the leadership of the PML-N. They also said that only Nawaz Sharif could rid the country of all crises.

The PML-N President, Mian Nawaz Sharif, welcomed them into the PML-N fold and said collective efforts are needed to tackle manifold challenges.

10 points would be little too much I think, better focus 10 points in a yearly target. NS should prioritize the issues which could be solved immediately, in medium term and in longer term.

10 points in a 100 days, let's see if he can accomplish such a feet, or I'm right and his incompetence is over-promising things again.

Nawaz and co have been given a leeway by the public regarding the energy issues. I don't think most of the people care about the energy issues after Shahbaz was exposed in Bijli khatam kerdenga dialogues.

Most people would be happy if the Punjab businesses are running good, bomb blast stop and economy start to revive, where i think Nawaz has a better edge over Zardari.

They can't do it without solving energy crisis and Shabaz Shareef thing were just speeches even Imran made blunders in speeches but if they have will they should do it

I don't think Energy Crisis will remain.. Since this task has been given to SS. And He has past record of finishing things on time.. and this will help other issues. Especially Stopping business Giants to flying out of Pakistan. Since, NS has good relationship with them and power shortage is biggest hurdle for them to grow more.

This will also help other issues... But Law and order would be big challenge for them, since most of the parties ruling other provinces (PTI, PPP, MQM) don't trust PML-N. And without their consensus it will be very hard to proceed. I hope for some time PTI start thinking about Pakistan rather then winning and anti-PML-N, it can change lot of things.

For Punjab's business to run good not only we need to end load shedding but we also need to bring the cost of electricity down. So dont you worry Pmln is going to fix this problem inshaAllah
