What's new

PMDC dissolved, new body to regulate medical profession

This is another clusterfuck in making those who think this will change anything are living in lalaland.
so you mean the story between Murad seed and Ik told by Khawaja Saad Rafique in NA is true and also story between Zulfi Bukhari and Ik told by Hamid meer is also true ,I don't believe them do you ?))))),oh sorry I forget to mention Reham Khan she wrote a book of stories too,

.
PMDC is a mafia no doubt about it but atleast they followed a set of laws. Now the private medical colleges will be free to do what they feel like and will overcharge students and donations will begin again. Fix pmdc but donot finish it.

.
Doctors are the major stakeholders in pmdc and they were not taken into confidence and the ordinance was approved by president.

Doctors across pakistan are on strikes because they are privatizing the whole health system I including the civil servant status of doctors.

Burki the cousin of PMIK is set on destroying the health sector of pakistan further.

Pakistan is a lower middle class country and PTI govt is sort of privatizing the hospital so that they can generate revenue as the major chunk of the patient of the govt hospitals are poor and the current treatment offered is on subsidized rates so it will affect the poor the most.

If they are going to appoint doctors only on contract basis they should extend it into all departments including judges, commissioners, teachers, army and rest of the govt servants.

Why only doctors should be on contract basis?

Time to leave this country
doctors are corrupt to the core, they are right next to judges and police..problem is that corruption of docs is leading to loss of life..pakistan health situation is now worse than countries where people die of hunger...this cannot be fixed as doctors who are suppose to lead the fixture..are leading how "not to fix" the health system..

the resulting situation is total chaos..imagine if police instead of polciing starts criminal activities..thats whts hapening

.
Doctors chill on their jobs and hardly show up to work. Not a single person willingly goes to a government hospital. If their pocket allows they will go to a private hospital 10 times out of 10. This is the CURRENT situation of government hospitals across Pakistan. PTI didn't create this situation. It has been running like this for decades. Now PTI is taking measures to fix it and doctors are doing their rundi rona because now they will actually have to work to earn halal ki kamai.

If they want to protest let them protest, in fact fire every single protesting doctor. There are thousands new doctors who join the workforce every year. The protesters can go open a paan ka khoka. Buhat hogayi badmashi.

.
Doctors on twitter are crying about having to take exams again...lol

The world these people must live in.

Suppose you are a recently graduated Doctor in Pakistan you have to clear this NLE to even apply for a house job (in which he/she will work his *** off for 35k a month) and if he is not able to clear it he would be jobless for 6 months before he gets another chance. Even if he clears it he will have to clear another one after completing his house job before he gets a general practicing licence.

Listen if you think its about clearing exams its not An MBBS graduate has to clear dozens of exams before he/she gets the degree. Taking another one is not a problem but Remember Pakistani MBBS graduates be they are from private or public institutes do clear USMLE , PLAB and other extra national licencing exams they have to prepare for it it takes time now you have put one of these domestic licensing exam it will consume even more of our time and we never have time its already hard as it is.

Now look a what a person has to clear to become a doc FSc exam, then entry test, then 5 professional exams, then another exam for provisional license, then house job, then another exam for permanent license, then CIP experience at peripheries, then post graduation entrance exam, then 4 years of training with inter modular exams, then post graduation final exam, and then specialist. (According to this New ordinance).

Even after clearing all of this they would get paid average salaries and work under contracts in MTI under the controls of Pakistanis civil Bureaucracy ACs and DCs (what qualifications do these baboos have). Doctors dont have a problem with MTI if Medical fraternity gets a say in it but as GOP has decided to act like fools what can we do.

The end result of this will be more and more of experienced Medical Professionals leaving Pakistan. Any one who could will leave.

Congratulations PTi aik our urta huwa teer gan....... main ly Lia ,Fazal ul rehmam will have now doctors on his side, supreme Court will be in action very soon I hope this presidential ordinance will be terminated, but SC may remain quite till dharna, As long as I remember PMC will require legislation and pti is in no position to get legislation passed from NA, and waisy bhi Imran seedha kam bhi karay ga tu Ulta he hoga,

I get the technical legal bit.

But who is going to audit the PMDC for its part in making sure that politicians bring out charts about stunted growth? I remember a decade ago, licenses would be given to anyone with cash on their hands to build universities or colleges. Who is answerable to that now?

This government has a mandate given to it by the IMF to privatize everything. From Steel Mills to PIA to Ports to the Banks, they are likely to use the chaos of 'sit-in' by friendly opposition to make sure the word does not get out. A typical way a mafia works and this political party is just a mafia of selected individuals from other political parties.

I think it's important that PMC accredited doctors and qualifications are accepted across the world. As of now I am aware this is not the case in UK or Saudia Arabia where further tests have to be taken.

If the PMC can achieve this great. If not it will be more of the same. President Alvi is a dentist by profession so I hope he knows what is being done more then most.
Those running pmdc are much more qualified than president Alvi and are also doctors, dentist only have limited knowledge related to teeth unlike mbbs who have knowledge of whole body.I think independence is major requirement for pmdc , changing name will not solve problem unless real structure and budget of education system is increased.our govt spends very little on health and education

Absolutely the opposite!

The government has no money to keep funding such loss-making SEOs, and it is their own plan to privatize them in order to meet their promises to IMF to get their financial house in order according to sound financial principles. IMF is not at blame here.

I am not blaming the IMF.

I would take your argument about having no money seriously if this was something new. But each government from the turn of the century has tried to auction the entities to selected friends and family. Previously PMLN and PPP tried it but were stopped but now somehow it is halal and being done under the guise of 'Sadiq n Ameen'.

What is in process right now is just another change of patronage, that is all. The system endures and produces the results for which it is carefully designed and managed. There is no problem here.

The devil has a hard time disguising itself in beauty. Truth eventually comes out.

for which it is carefully designed and managed.
Why you blame army for everything here you are blaming them in dabbay alfaz
Problem is past prime ministers were corrupt
They destroyed Pakistan and military rulers were coward they wanted to become jamhori

There is a certain elegant beauty in evil too, specially in regards to the system under discussion here. You have to admire its fine details.

Please see the above.
