Indian Medical Graduates Can Now Practise In US, Australia, Canada

There are some newer low quality ones, mostly in the private sector. Typically, the ones with a low patient load.

What percentage of med schools in India are good, what percentage are average and what percentage are crap?

The main advantage of WFME recognition for India is Students can get their application processed easily after USMLE. Especially in the case of licensing examinations and residency programs.

Almost all countries that supply medical practitioners to USA are trying to get them accredited. Indian NMC needs to given a pat on their back because they have gotten themselves accredited the earliest. Even GMC UK is sitting on their *** doing nothing and PMDC just applied 3 Months back.

US Authorities changed rules this year although they had been planning for a few years now that International medical Graduates need to have their Primary medical Qualifications done from Medical Schools that are in the WFME database. Otherwise they wouldn't be able to apply for USMLE exams and Residency programs.

The UK does not want its doctors to go to the USA ... GMC UK is doing the right thing by sitting on it ...
