Dhaka, Aug 18 (bdnews24.com) Prime minister Sheikh Hasina has expressed apprehension that poor supply of power and water could be a result of sabotage, and urged all to stay alert to foil such any disruptions in the utilities sector.
"Water crisis is not supposed to be there as generators have been installed at the pumps, while mobile generators are there at some others. But water is not supplied on time, while power outages are made to happen during Iftar and Sehri," Hasina alleged on Thursday.
Speaking at a discussion at the Bangabandhu International Conference Centre, organised by the city Awami League as part of programmes to observe the National Mourning Day on Aug 15, she also claimed that her government was sincere towards easing the crises.
"We've inherited these problems," she said.
The prime minster reiterated that the previous BNP government had not improved the power and communication sectors.

When she refers to sabotages, I guess we can all assume that she's referring to BNP and Jamaat for causing this issues to destabilise the current govt. And as usual she has continued to blame the BNP/Jammat alliance for the current crisis in gas and electricity. Does anyone remember when Abdul Jalil was remanded by the caretaker govt and he admitted in his confessions, how the Awami League govt continuously destabilise the then BNP regime, by trying cause price hikes by on rice, food and water?
