KARACHI: Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that the country is facing great pressure from the United States to recognise Israel, especially in the wake of peace deals between several Arab states and Tel Aviv, but this will not be possible “unless there is a just settlement, which satisfies Palestine”.

The prime minister was quoted as making these remarks by the Middle East Eye (MEE) website — a portal with a focus on the region — in a report carried on Monday.
MEE said Mr Khan made these remarks “last week” talking to “local media”.
The website quoted the prime minister as saying that pressure to recognise Israel was “extraordinary during the Trump stint”.
Rules out recognition until there is justice for Palestinians
Asked if any Muslim states were applying similar pressure on Pakistan, the PM appeared evasive, saying “there are things we cannot say. We have good relations with them”.
Earlier this year the UAE, Bahrain and Sudan normalised relations with Israel, while reports in the media stated that the Trump administration was goading Saudi Arabia to do the same. Riyadh has so far not followed in the footsteps of its Gulf and Arab allies.
In the MEE report, the PM reiterated Pakistan’s official line on the Palestine question, saying that “Islamabad would continue to follow in Jinnah’s footsteps vis-a-vis Palestine” meaning that unless there was justice for the Arab side, recognition of the Zionist state was off the table for Pakistan.

Called it.

Not only did they sell out Kashmir but also Al Aqsa, may the screams of the Palestinians and Kashmiri's haunt all those despots till the day of judgement.

The day Pakistan recognize Israel, the day Pakistan lose moral high ground to call other countries support on Kashmir.
Kashmiris and Palestinians are the same kind of people, oppressed by invaders, under lock down, curfew, lack of freedom and normal life.

India is doing exactly the same as what Israel doing.

India was oppressed by British for hundreds of years, now India is oppressing other nations, doing the same.

No wonder Israel and India are being good buddies.

What are the terms. If dollar debt amnesty are offered, then we should evaluate a "peace deal" with Israel.

You don't sell your mother for money have some respect for your self and the Palestinians victim's who are your brothers by religion. We may at times don't agree with them but that's a different issue but not going to stand beside the people who sell their souls for some gains. If you can't understand simple principle as rights and wrongs then go and learn something about your religion. country history and something called dignity.

Magar Pakistani abhi bhi arabs ke balls chate gayein ....

Arabs have sold their own brothers... What makes you think they care for ajmi non arab muslims who they consider nothing more than slaves.....

Itna Himmat hai kisi politicians mein k wo inkar ker sakay..

Islam is too basic. As it got fixed in a book, it could not evolve. For people who are evolved it will not work. Its like Primary school stuff for people who are graduate.

You will not understand till you remain in Primary school level of philosophy.

Worst thing is that you guys are so intolerant. I will not be surprise if I get negative rating for describing my views. I have read enough of Islam and discussed with Muslim friends.

like i said ... get an education

you dont know what you are talking about.

Fixed in a book?.... do you think the only material on Islam is in one book?

people who evolved?.. like who ? RSS hindus?.....

Think of this way if we Islam didnt come along we would still be drinking cow piss and burning our women when huby dies.

no, you have certainly not read Islam and Quran. Calling it as pretty basis/primary just depicts your lack of understanding. Quran mostly talks about human rights, how in the world its 'basic' infact this is taught in every civilized society in the world one way or another. Lastly yes, we are intolerant when some one post as stupid comments as yours.
