The price of flour should ideally have absolutely nothing to do with the government. The free market should determine the price of flour- it will settle somewhere close to the price on the international market. This is ideal. This will give farmers an incentive to produce more and will stop black market and smuggling activity. And it will make us more productive. All other solutions are not going to work. Until the awam of Pakistan get their head out of their a$$, that the govt can set the price of commodities, we will always be screwed.
