PM Nawaz Sharif gifts horse to Emir of Qatar

ISLAMABAD: A special aircraft flew from Islamabad airport carrying a horse as a gift from Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to Emir of State of Qatar.

According a government document obtained by Samaa, a C-130 plane transported the top breed horse along with a 13-member delegation of Pakistan government.

The documents reveal that it was a special gift for the Qatari Emir from the Prime Minister.

Last year, media reports said the PM had gifted a bull and a cow to the Qatari Emir.

In November last year, the federal government issued a special permit to Qatari prince Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jaber Al-Thani to hunt internationally protected migratory bird houbara bustard in Punjab.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has close ties with Saudi Arabia and Gulf countries. Pakistan considers the Gulf nations as key regional allies.

Hunting of houbara bustard and such gifts like cattle and horse are used by the Pakistan for ‘soft diplomacy’ and under a ‘foreign policy requirement’ to maintain friendship with the allies and to win favours from the nations having considerable wealth. - Samaa

On a serious note - I think it has to with the LNG deal ,as much as the support on the Panama papers.

There was this video of NS tying his "qamar band" in an AW139- that helo's registration was A7 i.e. Qatar. This was before he became PM. So their "friendship" does go a long way back.

The gift is being delivered to Emir of Qatar on behalf of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – A C-130 aircraft will be operating from Lahore to Qatar on February 28 to deliver a pair of bull & cow (Sahiwal breed) as a gift from Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to Emir of State of Qatar, Dunya News reported.

According to sources, Pakistan International Airline (PIA) will bear all the expenditures.

The aircraft will return to Pakistan on 29th of February.

The move comes few days after Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif returned from Doha after signing a long-term deal with Qatar to import liquefied natural gas.

The deal will see Qatar export up to 3.75 million tonnes of liquefied natural gas a year.

Pakistan currently faces a severe shortage of natural gas, both for its electricity generation and industrial use.

The deal was signed on the first day of two-day visit to Qatar by Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.

MOUs for enhancing bilateral cooperation with Qatar in Radio and TV, education, health and academic research were also signed by both sides.

Why so much love for Qatar? Why so many business interests with Qatari royals? The whole thing has corruption and bribery written all over it.

This is a case of conflict of interest and corruption.

With so much going on in Supreme Court regarding the corruption of Sharif and the Qatari link, the LNG deal should also be investigated. But who will do it? NAB and FIA are all totally compromised by the corrupt thief ruling this country.
