PM Nawaz to send pair of bull and cow to Qatar on C-130 aircraft - Pakistan - Dunya News

ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – A C-130 aircraft will be operating from Lahore to Qatar on February 28 to deliver a pair of bull & cow (Sahiwal breed) as a gift from Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to Emir of State of Qatar, Dunya News reported.

According to sources, Pakistan International Airline (PIA) will bear all the expenditures.

The aircraft will return to Pakistan on 29th of February.

The move comes few days after Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif returned from Doha after signing a long-term deal with Qatar to import liquefied natural gas.

The deal will see Qatar export up to 3.75 million tonnes of liquefied natural gas a year.

Pakistan currently faces a severe shortage of natural gas, both for its electricity generation and industrial use.

The deal was signed on the first day of two-day visit to Qatar by Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.

MOUs for enhancing bilateral cooperation with Qatar in Radio and TV, education, health and academic research were also signed by both sides.

I am confused.....the PM convinced the Qataris to give Pakistan a huge deal on the LNG, saved billions of dollars over every year and throughout the 15 years.....and 100,000 jobs for Pakistani skilled workers.....!! And you are making a simple gift issue as a political deal? It doesn't make sense.

Just as an example. when Hillary or others travel to foreign countries, they are given hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of gifts. In President Bush's time, Ms. Condoleezza Rice used to get diamonds worth hundreds of thousands from different Arab countries.....and we all know how much she liked them at the end of the day .

So this is a little gift. Let it be and learn how diplomacy works and how people and countries are connected together!!

Ok.....so how is this an issue? The PM of a country send out gifts to others, specially the ones who gave your country so much courtesy that they charged WAY less of a price than they did to India. And India, has like 3 times the orders with them. So saving billions every year isn't visible to fools but they see a $ 25 K worth of expense as "tax payers money being abused"??

Outside of the billions Pakistan will save in the LNG, imagine the billions which will come in through remittance when 100,000 people will actually work in Qatar.

You are making yourself and your country look bad by opening up these silly threads. Please close this as it has no real value or maturity to the topic. In fact, if I was in Qatar's government, I'd be offended that their gesture wasn't taken well by the beneficiary nation to be frank.

The topic has no value and it will really make Pakistan look negative in front of the readers (specially the ones from Qatar to be honest). Such useless negativity needs to be converted over to positive attitude so Pakistan could grow as a country. A negative nation can't create a positive, growing country.

Sir you took it wrong ,as extra sensitive, the tread was open in a good way in promoting Pak Qatar relations.Officals can close it,if they disagree.What chinease do panda diplomacy so cant pm do cow diplomacy ? .No more
