PM Khan okays 46% rise in gas tariff

@Jungibaaz

Please again don't employ same excuses there were many options available [some of it are available in his parliament speeches when he was in opposition] or even govt. could've shown with their actions IMF was a last resort . Taking on the har**mkhor corrupt bureaucratic mafia that resists restructuring or change of behaviour, his own pathetic body language. Announcement of cuts in exports. On just one fall of stock exchange he ran to Indonesia to enter IMF program the next day. Meek guy with pathetic decision making.

There will be another IMF program in 3 years time with this govt. not there and dacoit DAr schooling PTI how to handle babus in Pakistan Govt.

Even if Asad Umar had 'attempted' some action to reform or show the same old corruption and govt. employees won't work. The public would've tried to swallow this IMF disaster. Asad Umar is not only implementing the corrupt afsar mafias same old pathetic decisions of taxing basic necessities but following it with inaction and behaving like a puppet in their hands.

Ishaq Dar also deliberated this mafia but handled them better resisted price hikes on basic necessities like gas and actually provided a breather to the common man by managing gas prices. Instead pushed taxes on mobile recharge and other items.

The mafia and pro-US agents have cornered Imran Khan and PTI to do exactly what they cried against for 15+ years. Asad Umar and Dawood like meek pro-American corporate figures are making him look like a joke and farce.
You jave two options
1. File for bankruptcy and lose the rupee al togther and use indian rupee(thanks mr dar)
2. Do corrective measures and get a bail out while doing that

This is isn't just a problem with Imran Khan, the entire system is rotten and incompetent. PTI made huge promises that they have no hope of delivering.

I don't support PTI either, but it's not PTI's fault that they are having to go asking for bailouts again, it was the previous government's tajarba kaar team of idiots. However, PTI have stupidly promised things to people and are set to look like hypocrites for criticising previous governments for doing the same thing now.

I've said it before, Pakistani politics needs to grow up fast, parties need to become more pragmatic, the media needs to become smarter and evolve beyond cross-party shit shovelling and focus on broader issues.
Because thats what politics is...
I will judge people by their actions in poltics..so i am going to wait and see how they do..so far on economics fron they have done everything by the book...

Good to see you finally revealing your motives and your identity.

And don't bs your political crap in the lines. Mr Dar was not IMF puppet director in 2009. You can manipulate your bakwaas to save your IMF a**. Pakistanis know who has done damage to them to progress their agendas.

I agree, so far it's all fine. But here's what gets me worried. Since they have promised all these social welfare projects, investments, 5 million homes etc. If they attempt to follow through on these promise (even if they fail), they may do so by implementing some very bad policies.

For example, we all know the 5 million homes promise was fanciful, but if they attempt to increase home building by some amount. There are two ways I can think of this, one involves large amounts of government spending on home building, the other way might be to force banks to make loans and encourage home building thus creating a private debt bomb. In both cases, we take on debt (public or private), when we're supposed to be cutting the deficit and checking credit expansion.

correct..asad umar has clarified that in his speech...its complicated to exolain but banks have working credit of over 2 trillion rupees that is sufficent for 1 million housing ..foreign investment coupled with govt land (there is alot) means govt can achieve 5-10lac additonal houses/apartments ..Singapore model is great example if this..

Govt has said multiple times that it doesnt plan to invest largely or draw fiscal deficit high for its agenda

Goal should bw decreasing fiscal deficit increasing exports and increasing revenues without hitting exports or fueling too much inflation

Govt should build a dam and play politics on that..with RR of 33% such project are never a mistake especially looking at our fuel import bill

5 million however is out of question and cannot be achieved without screwing things up

Fawad ch saying sawal gandam and jawab chana...its what you guys do...

Welcome to age of death of reasoning ...

I will add that the agenda to compromise national security was led by Mr sharif with MR dar as evident by his speeches and indian investments, he wanted Pakistan to bankrupt as he did in 1998 so that we loose our independence and nuclear weapons...

Because of them our interesr in half of our budget (federal) and we have financing gap of 28 billion dollars..are you suggesting this was done by PTI

Please answer this question
Is PTI responsible for debt going up from 6000 to 30000 billion rupees and fiscak deficit of 7% abd tax to gdp ratio of 74% and maturing debt of 6 billion of IMF and 20 billion of paris club?
I am waiting.for your answer to this specific question

Also give us suggestion how to deal with it?

When a drug addicts sells his home for his addiction the blame isnt the buyer of home but the addict himself...literally we have addicts in PML N like mr abbasi..

Very soon PTI supporters will ask people to not do politics over “tough” measures being taken by IK to “save” the country. They most certainly have forgotten IK’s call to burn electricity bills and use Hundi . Opposition must make him taste the same medicine for some time. Opposition will be foolish to not mobilise poor people against this government. Let poor people get inflated bills for couple of months and then start ground level campaign. This US lackey cabinet of IK must be exposed. Giving subsidies to corporate while increasing bills for downtrodden.

Well I will say they are welcomed but don't say we didn't do that(because they did, PPPP devaluation was 40% while PMLN did alkost 100% devaluation in 1998)
" Mr Pasha said I couldnt sleep with 1 billion CAD how come it's 18 billion today"
