ECP should also be tried for criminal negligence. As per procedure, they should be ready to conduct elections anytime, its their only job. How can they say that they cannot hold elections in 90 days?

Take it like this.

A unit has to be ready to completely mobilize in 4 days at all time. War unexpectedly breaks out, but the unit isn't ready to mobilize in 4 days, and says that we didn't think a war was gonna break out.

How the heck is this an excuse for not being ready within the stipulated time?

I read up on this matter.

The ECP started delimitation based on the latest census of 2017 (or whenever it was).

But the PTI govt announced that it will conduct an electronic census or something similar.

So, the ECP decided to stop work on delimitation based on old census data and wait for a new census, and now it is too short of a time for the delimitations.

The bigger issue is because of the merger of FATA with KPK. Those seats are creating some problems. The solution IMO is pretty simple, you only take into account the population of KPK, and then distribute the seats based on that data.

Bhai, you keep on continuing the work you are doing. You do not stop work based on a supposition keh future main kuch hoga aur phir ham us par kaam karain gay.

This is more of an indictment of the ECP and it's incompetence more than anything.

Not only new halqa bandi. New mardam shumari and then halqa bandi. Then there is problem of new voter lists as per new halqas. Plus appointing 2 members of ECP
