ISLAMABAD - Prime Minister Imran Khan Sunday directed Minister of State for Climate Change Zartaj Gul to withdraw her letter to National Counter Terrorism Authority seeking the appointment of her sister.

“This was against the ethics of PTI which has always opposed nepotism,” Special Assistant to PM Naeem ul Haque said in a tweet.

Why did this even reach the media in the first place? This should have been rejected way before the people even heard about this.

PTI only acted when it was highlighted by media/opposition otherwise there would be no accountability thats why opposition has important role in any democracy because absolute power corrupt absolutely.. Now its time to see if the dog wags the tail, or if the tail wags the dog. IK must work twice as hard keeping his party in line as he works towards keeping opposition in line.

These incidents will happen, the difference is, never before in Pakistani history have political supporters of a party demanded a stop to behaviour like this. All across social media the majority of PTI supporters demanded action and they got it.

You want to punish a woman for writing a letter recommending her sister for a job? That is ridiculous and outside the rule of law or even common decency.

Pakistan cannot change with IK alone, when people like yourselves develop morals and principles, that is when Pakistan will change. Fact you want a lady to be sacked for writing a letter of recommendation shows you lack principle.
