Imran Khan seems to mean well. I don't know enough about internal Pak politics to comment more. He does seem interested in peace and things like Kartarpur were positive moves. I really wish and hope they take care of the likes of Hafiz Saeed and rein him in.

You guys have to understand that after long time
Army and Civilian goverment in Pakistan are on same page, previously it was more of please let us loot the country and otherwise we will cry foul that Army doesnt want democracy in country.
and after Mushareef ear Army has some what limited activites or used covert way in regards to interfaring in civilian matters.

Now the current state Pakistan is in or in near future stay same, any state be it india or uncle sam think that Army wont have say or wont do anything is a big miss understanding you have to under stand that Pakistan faces Arch Enemy ( India which is a major power ) if you like that term or not its up to you bit its a reality just like India has the same problem with China
Otherside you have Iran who had its own problems , and biggest of all Afghinstan will all its problems

Any sensable nation will give somewhat authority to army why Civlian goverments change after few years while Army work as a orginistaion which is thr to stay so people tend to depend on them.

Now Coming back to these People you mentioned are relics of Cold war era which is long gone ,Pakistan actually has no use of them they were used to gather people so they can fight against the evil bear ( Russia ) that ended at the collapse of Russia but what about the people who were on uncle sams payroll , kids who grew up doing 1 thing waging war they had nothing to do and India was the closest enemy to them what you expact would have happen otherwise
Pakistan , Afghinstan , Iran , India are just vicitims of that war.

Afghinstan should have been handled properly they should have given people to do something to build something but it wasnt important anymore.

In Regards to Kashmir its a problem Weather India or Pakistan like it or not and its needs to be resolved only than these countries can move forward.
And what indian army has been doing there for past decades in Kashmir its not hidden from anybody so these will countine.

The courts have decided fate of Hafiz Saeed just like courts decided fate of Narinder Modi
