The world now knows that India has double standards.... One set of principles seem to apply to India, another set to non-India. This is one more demonstration of the fact that India remains violent and aggressive at heart,
whatever the pious statements made from time to tune by its leaders. We have seen with our own history how
Indian attack on Goa as “naked militarism”. We also knew how Nehru smart a** fool Master Tara Singh to stop Khalistan in the beginning and the Same mentality India use for pakistan:
Pakistan did get a legal instrument of accession of Junagadh Princely State through Dewaan Shahnawaz Bhutto father of Prime Minister of Pakistan Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto. This was the Indian argument especially of Sardar Patel
Mountbatten and Aynnangar both agreed that the issue of geographical contiguity had no legal standing and that Junagadh's accession to Pakistan was strictly and legally correct. But Sardar Patel demanded that the matter of the state's accession should be decided by its people instead of the ruler.
"Nehru laid out India's position which was that India did not accept Junagadh's accession to Pakistan."
"Later at the United Nations Security Council, India's argument revolved around the wishes of the people which it accused the Nawab of ignoring. India's representative at the UNSC was also advised to avoid legalistic arguments about the Instrument of Accession because of the effect it could have on Kashmir."
Same argument is used by Pakistan but India keeps saying that Maharajah Hari Singh gave accession even though it was conditional which has been amended numerous times like going from having own Flag and Wazir e Azam (Prime Minister) to at this point as the semi-autonomous State of India. Now next step is removal of articles of 370 and 35A to completely go against that instrument of accession which PM Nehru used as a legal and moral grounds in the United Nations to fully secure J&K.
Junagadh had access to sea so it would have been an odd case but it was still possible. Jammu and Kashmir even shared border but maybe PM Nehru didn’t want his Janambhoomi to go to Pakistan and he loved his comrade Abdullah too much.
I will give an example of the newest country called South Sudan which supposedly gained independence from Sudan in 2011.It is an oil-rich land so no surprise there and also Christian majority so it's termed as a civil war rather than usual magic “T” word for every struggle involving Muslims. This two-nation theory is fine because its suits the world. East Timur is another example.
I will go back to Sultana Begum who is a descendant of the Mughal family. A claim can be made but it would be absurd and silly on Pakistan’s part to even say this now. It's still taught in our history high school books and there is normally a five-line paragraph. The world is changing quickly so Pakistan should move forward and see what can be done about J&K rather than Junagadh which is 100% part of India.
11th Nawab of Junagadh Muhammad Jehangir Khanji lives in Karachi. He is probably like Sultana Begum telling stories about his ancestors. He is in better condition though living in a life of luxury. Don’t tell Modi Ji otherwise he will ask him to come to Gujrat for voting as a citizen. Jokes aside Indian government should help Sultana Begum a bit just like a small pension would do for her. After all, we are a great civilization
India and Indian people dream of supawa nations
