The Prime Minister will meet legal experts in Islamabad.
ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) - Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has has convened a consultative meeting of legal and constitutional experts in Islamabad today (Friday) to implement national action plan against terrorism.
According to Prime Minister s House officials, the meeting will also review modalities to implement the measures announced by the Prime Minister in his address to the nation on Wednesday night to curb terrorism.
In a live televised address to the nation on Wednesday, the Prime Minister announced 25 new counter-terrorism policies, including establishment of special military-run courts to prosecute terrorism suspects following the terrorist attack on Peshawar school that killed 149 people, including 132 children.
The "plan of action" included a wide range of measures including constitutional amendments, banning space for "terrorists" in electronic and print media, destroying their communication systems, and the repatriation of Afghan refugees.
PM Nawaz also announced the formation of a special anti-terrorism force and reforms of religious seminaries known as madrassas.
