Pressure is now mounting on the finance minister from stakeholders to stop efforts to get control over the exchange rate artificially as this policy has resulted in three types of exchange rates — interbank, open market and grey — that have practically been fuelling economic instability. However, sources claimed that the finance minister is not ready to accept the single exchange rate market.

Short of beating on his head with a steel rod, everything has been tried; but he is still not relenting.

Dar was Gen Bajwa superman ....now the whole nation is paying the price.

Maybe one of the clauses in the ‘bait’ that Dar took with Bajwa and his FIL was to maintain Rs rate below 250 whatever happens.

Pakistan is heading towards Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka at full speed. Confiscation of Dollars for depreciating Pakistani Rupee is theft.
