Please tell your current city and duration of power cuts

Only time any place in Sri Lanka had scheduled powercuts was like 5,6 years ago..when we had a severe draught..That too only for a month..1-2 hr every day

In Ghaziabad(NCR) ,Uttam pradesh we have around 10 hrs power cut specially during summers. Situation have gone from bad to worse since Mullah Mulayam has taken over.
Now i am in bangalore, virtually no power cuts.

Sri Lanka - Colombo ---NO power cuts..I think Sri Lanka is the only country in S. Asia that has 24*7 electricity...

Delhi, bangalore get 24*7 electricity i know since i lived here. Most of state capitals get 24*7 electricity and power situation is lot better down south. In gujarat even villages also get 24*7 electricity. Please don't compare yr country with India with we are beyond yr league.

I am currently in Hyderabad and there is minimum 2-3 hrs power cut EVERY DAY. Longer in Summer.

I have a generator and a UPS for my apartment so it keeps me isolated but I can see the dark roads every day.

Are you drunk? i live near hi tec no power cuts for the past 3 months . dont know where you stay .

I still don't know why but we only suffer power cut when we need that most i.e.. During very hot( power comes backs when rain falls) weather otherwise we forgets what is power cut in my town.

No power cut in Hyderabad ,AP yeah but the they cut power for 1 min during a big storm so it wont damage the transformers etc.But even that is very rare.

India power generation is similar to China around 2000.but i remember that there is no power shortage since several years before 2000 in most of China villages.in 2000 our electricity consumption structure is 70% industry & 30 % for living.so i think if India doesnt consume more industry electricity than China,there should not be power shortage for the whole country,any one can explain it?

so true..Although India is way behind SL and 90% of the countries on earth in GDP per capita(3500 vs 1500) , HDI (high category vs mere 0.5 ) , Life expectancy (77 vs 65 ) , Literacy (98 vs 75) , % below poverty (5% vs 40%) ,

no country on earth can match India`s cast system , number of slums , piles of garbage , your women who marry cows , dogs , frogs and how you urinate in public !

yes India is out of our league..India is more similar to Switzerland thus it should not be compared with Asian countries..not even with china and russia

Sri Lanka is a tad cleaner than India, and there's no doubt about that. Let me just say this - I've seen slums in Colombo (diversion from the main road leading up from mt. Lavinia to Colombo proper), had my so-called highly paid driver try to steal from me in Unawatuna, had the tourism police keep their fair share of my money (read: steal); I've had the so-called "big spenders" of Kandy and Colombo ask me, the Indian, to pay for not one, not two, not even three, but about 5 meals (with drinks). Then there was a random chick (in Hikkaduwa) who befriended me, and then asked me for a couple of thousand. Bunch o' thieves I tell you, but in all fairness, i shouldve known better. Negombo had two power cuts during the three days that I spent in the place. I've been to your country multiple times, and have seen how the majority of your population lives, so spare me the rant. Be respectful - India has a long way to go, and we're the first to acknowledge it, but for the love of the planet, do not think of yourself the way you do.
