This is what happens under secularism. Clean, efficient, no nonsense country. Compare this to Pakistan.

Bangladesh is a secular nation and they had a river of blood:D. It has to do more with culture imo.

.
The situation in cities is better than before but there are still people slaughtering illegally despite fines though.
Besides this is a normal slaughterhouse, there are permanent and temporary ones for eid like this.

Being born yesterday secular is not same thing as nearly 100 years secular. Try to differantiate between couple of years and century of unrestricted secularism initiated under the iron hand of Kemal Ataturk.

Compared to the Kemalist change of 1920 which was violent rupture with the past, giving Turkey a new culture. Change in dress, change in manners, change in writing from Arabic to Roman, change in law to change in everything the Bangos., are false flagger secularists.

What exact change have they brought compared to the earthquake a century ago in Turkey?

*Even with the half baked secularism brought in yesterday compared to century of Kemalism in Turkey Bangos are doing very well. Have you seen their HDI and economic forecasts?

Secularism > century > change in culture.

And why is it the biggest cheerleaders againsat secularism are living in the secular West? Irony?

Dump Arabic adopt Roman. Change in culture follows.

Frankly I always had extreme disdain for Banglas. As they used to say "low lying land and low people" but honestly in the last decade those small guys living in what is a swamp that is barely 1 cm above the Bay of Bengal is making terrific progress. Their HDi is going up and up. Their literacy is going up. Their female emanicpation is improving. Their economy is booming. Almost every third shirt or trousers I buy in UK is "Made in BD".

As regards religion I think they have a soft secular party in power that is slowly tilting and moving ever so gently in direction of secularism. They even hung a bearded merchant or as the Chinese call "a religious profiteers". A Mullah. So great news for BD. I hope they can consolidate their secularism and burn a path on the course Turkey has followed. You guys have no idea how lucky you had Kemal Ataturk.

city people are not farmers/villagers, they tend to buy meat in package or butchers, plus industralization allows one to meet high quota of end product. but this system is great its clean and you dont have to wrestle the animal.

villagers/farmers do it old fashing way, tend to keep livestock and slaughter just with knife and rope.

.

Pakistan does have this too. This just takes less effort. A kill is a kill no matter how humane you try to make it look.

@Kaptaan I don't think it really matters.
