Sir G, don't be emotional, in the history of PDF @Retired Troll accounted right on very very few occasions.
To avoid the spreading of such calamity, our religion Islam also have guidelines:
Al-Bukhaari (5739) and Muslim (2219) narrated from ‘Abd ar-Rahmaan ibn ‘Awf (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) say: “If you hear that it (the plague) is in a land, do not go there, and if it breaks out in a land where you are, do not leave, fleeing from it.”
We are quite adept at finding Islamic reasons to support us when we need them, no? And forget Islam altogether at other times.
The above hadith refers to people who are caught up in a plague and what they are meant to do.
Not how a state should deal with its people who are stuck.
We have facilities today that help contain plagues and viruses, people can be scanned, treated and kept in isolation. It is the states responsibility to make sure its citizens are safe and sound and being looked after.
Whose mother wants her child to be stuck in a far away land in times of a calamity? Is the state supposed to be any different to its citizens?
Let me ask you again, will your opinion be the same if it was your family stuck there?
