PLA to hold military exercise in East China Sea

The East China Sea Fleet of the People's Liberation Army (PLA) recently announced that it would hold live-fire exercises in the East China Sea from June 30 to July 5.
It is rare for the Chinese military to make such an announcement ahead of time, according to Ming Pao Daily News.
In an apparent coincidence, the drill was announced shortly before the start of the US and South Korea's joint military exercise on June 28 in the Yellow Sea.
The Chinese authorities have not provided any further details on the exercise.
